As the old adage goes, there's no accounting for taste. Kids (or the kid-level intelligence adults) like seeing the dinosaurs go 'Raaawr!', I guess.
I expect Rebirth will do slightly worse than Dominion (especially accounting for inflation) and still be around the #5 US movie for the year - it won't overtake Minecraft or Lilo & Stitch, but will probably sneak past Sinners. It'll probably do better than Superman, but will likely do worse than Avatar 3 and Wicked 2, especially if you include their takes in 2026.

I remember my grandmother had a hardback copy and I read the whole thing when visiting them one summer, had to be mid-late 90's. Yeah... the movie had absolutely fuckall to do with the book. Bro. Dallas Bryce Howard’s character in JW1 was basically Burke from Aliens (the villain). Her character in JW was a corporate drone who only cared about profit and herself. Even when people were dying all around her she didn’t give a shit. Yet in the story she’s paraded as a heroine when she is the real human villain in the tale.
if Michael Crichton wrote the script, she would’ve have died at the end by the monster not have a fairy tale ending with Chris Pratt’s motorcycle.

It's really modern Hollywood in general. People get shot of cut up but you don't actually see it.
Guns are the worst. Everything is off frame. Get shot by a guy off frame and slump over. Or you see the guy shoot but whenever he it's is off frame then it cuts to the guy he hits slumped over. It's very bizarre.
