Kpop evolution in the last years has been interesting to watch for sure. It went from cute concept above all else, with the odd group every now and then trying to cross the line. That shit was squished hard and fast just a few years ago. Rania had to modify the dance routine of Dr Feelgood like twice, Rainbow was forbidden to show their bellies when doing A in live performance and there was even rules against wearing white panties in the off chance a camera would catch its color during a dance move.
There has been a slow movement toward sexy concepts from 2009 to 2013 then in 2014 they just collectively decided that fuck it, sex sells. Now it's 2015 and it's just standard business to get on stage in tights, bend over ass to the audience and stay that way for half the song.

Somewhat related? A friend linked me a Dofus video (it isn't k-pop, it's a french anime sort've animation thing.) It was 5 cartoon girls squirming around to some really horrific music and chanting shit in french- and most of the comments are 'this gives me a boner' related. Which was weird, because the voice actors sound like little girls. Made me physically angry.
I'm not entirely sure what the source of the neoteny fetish is over in Asia, but you better believe its starting to take root over here as well.

If you've ever read Shogun, there's definitely a scene in that book where a guy takes a couple kids to bed for a political statement, and my understanding is, while it is a fictional story, it is founded in a deep understanding of Japanese history and culture, and therefore is an accurate picture of what life was like in the 1700s or so in Japan.
So probably they've just been diddling kids as long as they've been around, so its no big deal to them. Sorta like the Bachi Bazi boy love practices in Afghanistan.

Quite big actually. Those who make it big enough to score jobs on tv shows or model careers are pretty much set for life but those that don't quite make it to the top and don't score a sugar daddy during their singing career have to seek other options. There's some that manage to scrounge enough money to start a business or become dance/singing teacher but many only have their looks to fall back on.
Not to mention exects commonly bed girls from less popular groups in exchange of more exposure. So it's not like they are ignorant of the concept.
It's such a healthy business.
Do they though? there's so fucking many of em, surely its just the record labels and company's who run the groups who make the vast majority of the income. Kpop seems far more seedy and fucked then the US or UK music industry for example, and most bands in them two industries make sweet fuck all if they are manufactured and just pop/sex bands. Something like the Pussycat dolls or The Saturdays made very little income each for years of work as a famous band member. I think most people be shocked at how little most the hot girls made over the years. And thats in what I would call fairer and far less creepy then kpop so I dunno davey, Id say most of em that aren't in the really famous ones and on like telly aswell make very little from the whole thing.
