This is an EMU server that has a small friendly population providing a great experience that I wish to tell more people about. First off, I don't know any of the GM,s and have no vested interest in this server except for my characters.
The server forum page isKildrukaun's Prophecy Index page. There are 4 GMs that work pretty hard to provide a unique experience in a small faster format then regular eq.
Game features:
1. Out of combat mana/HP regen rates make it so the game has little downtime.
2. Major mob spawns anywhere from 8 hrs (dragons) to as little as 2 Hrs (Classic gods / VS)
3. All mobs are scaled to be doable with about 2-3 groups. Once you acquire better gear the scaling goes down. For instance the first time we killed Trak it took 2 groups. This morning I did it was 1 group, and 3 people in my group were 57-59.
4. There is a porter in every major town in Classic, and Cabalis. GMs are working on adding more for some Kunark cities, and hopefully Velious.
5. Factioning is faster then live. It takes me 1 complete clearing of MM to go from threatening to Max ally for dragon faction.
6. EC tunnel has a merchant to sell your stuff and where you can check for things other players are selling. Also buff, and port bots that you pay a small fee for their services. Also casinos for the gambling addicts.
7. OOC is global
8. Veteran AA's are active - lesson of the devoted, Staunch recovery.
Progression gameplay:
1. You start in classic, and can not progress to Kunark until you have required all the steps required to flag for that expansion. For example you need to kill Phinny, CT, Inno, EoV, and a Brood mother as raid mobs. All can be done with approx 2 groups.
2. There is also a solo progression path that involves some essence drops from PoH, PoF, and POS. As well as some ground spawns and finally killing Naggy and Vox. If you play here and do the solo progression but do not have the numbers for Naggy or Vox I am sure most level 60's would be willing to wax them for you. I wax vox daily, sometimes multiply times a day looking for my second rezz staff.
3. Kunark involves getting your VP key before you can even begin the progression task. Once you have your VP key you need to kill VS/Chottal, and then Gore/Sev/Faeydar, and finally Phara Dar to become velious flagged.
4. There is currently a small group of people in Velious. No flagging for Luclin has been done yet, and this server will go all the way to POP and full stop, besides some custom additions maybe later.
The staff:
I have been on many emu servers and I have to say this server has the best staff I have seen to date. Updates regularly, and bug fixes promptly. There are still some minor issues and things that get adjusted here and there, but nothing that makes people go nuts.
Starting today there is double exp until Sunday, and double loot drops in the custom WC zone. If you decide to try this server out look me up and I'll see if there are a few things I can toss your way to get you started. I outfitted a pallie today in full deepwater. I don't have much left as I give away a lot of stuff everyday. If you let me know your interested in playing here I'll keep stuff in my backpack to toss your way in the downtime.
Great server. If you have a friend or 2 and are all 3 Boxers you'll go far in no time. If you need help people are always friendly and you just need to ask in /ooc.
