I don't know why but I love these types of movies even if they're cheesy. I also find a pretty hilarious that it's a bunch of orientals trying to colonize a Scandinavian country for their fish farming.

Hopefully the Giant octopus or squid eats everybody, and also the farm raised salmon which tanks the sushi market, an Asian countries explode.

Please let me know when it will be a Mubi...

Right! Retard! I agree, deep sea movies have always been a fascination for me. Even if it sucks. Abyss, Deep Blue Sea, all that stuff it's great. Same for games, the underwater (exception for Subnautica) I always enjoy. The deep sea base, horror etc.

Just the other day I listened to a fucking amazing story that's deep sea. It's called The Ocean is Much Deeper than We Thought. Fucking amazing story.

I saw Deep Blue Sea in the theater back in college, and when Samuel l Jackson got eaten my buddy and I were pretty shocked. I probably seen most of the different underwater or ocean based horror or thriller films out there, kind of like watching movies in a polar climate, it's a harsh environment and it makes for a good setting.

I remember watching the Disney 20,000 leagues under the Sea movie as a kid anytime it was ever on TV, and also my parents renting it from the video store. It's probably one of my favorite movies, have a couple of times I got the code to Disney world was my favorite ride when I was little.

But I also grew up with movies like Leviathan and Deep Star Six. I think the last decent underwater movie I watched was one with the girl from Twilight, I think it actually might be called underwater, but it's surprisingly okay, especially for the big reveal at the end.

Yes! I liked Underwater too. I don't give a flying fuck for the actress, I actually think she's trash but the I'm a sucker for isolation movies SAW, Buried, 12 Angry Men (my all time favorite movie), etc.

Great pay off at the end of Underwater. Wasn't expecting the creature to be who it was.

We just watched an 80s deep sea movie a couple weeks ago, Leviathan, that I don’t know how I missed growing up. It had a cast that was great in the 80s, classic 80s workplace sexual harassment, an 80s hot aerobic girl, sharks, cheesy one liner ending. Was great!

Hell yeah! I was excited as hell to watch that movie as a kid and it was pretty creepy when you're young. Now it's just '80s fun.

I have a real hard time believing anything from documentaries. I remember watching Blackfish and was all wtf....just to find out it was bullshit! Or Inconvenient truth or Super size me and all the other documentaries I watched that turned out to be bullshit.

That said, I think the best caviar in the world comes from a salmon farm in Ecuador? If I remember correctly.
