Thanks man. I'm looking at $731 a person for 4 nights there. Really not bad considering we getting prime flight times which is jacking price up a bit but I'd rather be in Vegas at 10am my first day and pay a little extra then 10pm and lose that day.
Have you tried Wynn / Encore rates? Its a way nice level of hotel and they send out some really cheap deals in emails.

Any of you guys use Expedia? Never tried it and dont know what to expect. Looking to go to Vegas for first time and got a few hotels I'm kicking around. For 4 nights at the end of April beginning of May. 3 of us and trying to keep price down but it would be nice to be semi close to mgm

Hotel plus air from Philly.
Stratosphere $513
golden Nugget $528
Circus Circus $491
Do not stay at the Stratosphere. It is actually way far away from everything plus the rooms are dumpy.

I lived in Vegas for 10 years and I always referred to the Stratosphere as the WhiteTrashsophere.

The only good thing about the Stratosphere is that restaurant at the top of the tower, the food is actually pretty good and a great view.

One of my best friend's parents own a timeshare at the Westin on Flamingo right behind the Flamingo. It is great because you pass the Stage Door Casino's bar on the walk to the strip. They have a few bottled beers for a buck and a ton of cheap shot specials. We would take two to go every time we passed it and just jump right into the 1-2 limit hold'em games at the Flamingo or the LINQ. If you are looking for a cheap poker trip those three places are your best bet.

Also if you are a VIP the securitrons will allow up to the penthouse suite to talk with this guy.

I have mentioned this before but I will mention it again. If you have any extra time in Vegas make sure you go to the pinball hall of fame. Its about 10 minutes from the strip on tropicana. Awesome place to put down 20 bucks for a few hours of time. There are 200+ pinball and coin operated machines to play all for a buck and under. Y
Took a friend who was visiting this week and he was blown away and had a great time.

Same with insert coins on Fremont street. Excellent video game bar.

Booked the Luxor. 4 night trip for $730 including round trip flights. Airfare prices are way too high considering how low gas prices are.

If you go south on Vegas Blvd. from Luxor there is a mall called Town Square. Town Square is pretty nice and they opened a new GameWorks recently with a restaurant in it too. Also a massive Fry's is at the mall.

You gotta try Raising Cane's if you have never been there. They only do chicken strips and fries but it is very good and inexpensive. They are also south on Vegas Blvd. near the south outlet center.

When I lived in Vegas I was friendly with the brothers that own all the Raising Canes in NV & AZ. Their Dad Joe started Buca di Beppo which translates to Joe's Basement. Anyway, cool family and good food.

nice

Get the Mcard (MGM ) card when you get there first thing. Tell them it's your first time at the Luxor and they should put some cash on it. It's good at MGM/Luxor/Excalibur/ManBay etc

great deal if you gamble even a small amount.

Let me know how this works for you, I'm not sure I would do a night at the Luxor even if it's for that price. I have a Platinum Mlife Card (I live in LA so I go to Vegas all the time) and I can get nights at the Luxor comped but the hotel is definitely on the cheapo side and you see it when you go inside.

Oh and here's a tip for some of you, if you have a medical marijuana card from out of state, since November 2014 Nevada accepts out of state cards, especially from California.

Cirque du Soleil while high is amazing.

I still want to see Absinthe again while on something.

Anyone stayed at the Venitian recently? I am looking for a more of an upscale hotel for my next trip (not wynn upscale !) and reasonbale deal at the venitian currently, but read some recent reviews that the venitian was starting to show its age.
Anyone have any first hand opinions?
The last time I was there (2012) it seemed like that property had put all of their money recently into The Palazzo sister property that is attached to the Venetian. The Palazzo is REALLY nice and brand new(well, new as of 3 years ago I guess) but the Venetian had been a little neglected for a while during the construction of the Palazzo, it seemed like.

Venetian in general was falling apart when I last visited it a year ago. Not just the rooms but the entire inside non-Casino area as well.
