You could always build tanky, do your little J4 dash thing, get a really nice shield (15% bonus hps) and do it as a combo.

I watched just a little bit of this guy on the PBE, and I think he might be able to jungle (who knows how well). He's pretty mobile/pokey.

Isn't the ult the first of his kind? I know ya'll mention Anivia wall but her wall is dashable isn't it?

As far as the use described above, really depends on the comp but even isolating a tank could be just as bad for their team if you can drop em quick, then it becomes a 4v5 with no tank. Even if you used it to separate a person diving from you adc that might be enough for them to kill em. Who knows, but certainly seems like a ton of useful interactions.

I was about to say Nami's ult is probably better, but then I looked at the numbers and his Rank 3 ult lasts 7 fucking second. Holy shit that's long.

Talk about base defense. Inhib tower drops? Pop a new tower up and block the entry way for 7 seconds. That's some extra defense time that is crucial late in the game.

Holy shit the client changes... still patching but maybe it won't be complete and utter shit now with a decent interface. Probably not but we'll see.

Edit: Nope just the launcher really. Boo.

The patcher and landing page are the first wave. The whole client is being updated one structure at a time essentially. It'll be slow but it's happening.

Ya they said they were going to do it bit by bit to ensure stability but it is also laying the ground work for the rest of the system updates to follow. I like the new landing page a lot, will take some getting use to though.

The new out-of-game client is ugly as shit. Way too busy. Sacrifices usability and transmission of information for an attempt at improving aesthetics (that also fails). The semi-transparent chat windows are AIDS and much harder to read with all the busy pictures showing through. Literally the only good thing I can say about it is the muted bronze color on some of the text looks really nice. Fuck them and whoever keeps perpetuating this style. Same stupid shit as xbone, windows 8, and all the rest...

I love the shyvana splash art. Am I getting dementia, or was that a recent change? (admittedly not mutually exclusive)

They just changed Shyvana and Vayne's splashes. Shyv was definitely an upgrade. Not so sure about Vayne.

Makes sense, you don't like Win8 so that says a lot right there as to why you wouldn't like this, pretty similiar.

If anybody happens to play new guy on the PBE keep in mind his ult doesn't stop everything. Thinks considered "unstoppable" like Vi/malphite ult fiz E, etc, still go through it.

I played him on PBE 1x so far and really enjoy him. He feels a TON better than Gnar. He seems to be a huge lane bully atm, not sure if OP, but definitely fun. His early game definitely seems strong and perhaps late game not as much since his Ult is more of a team-fight ability than a 1v1 ability.

I think the best use of Azir ult will be just like a stronger Anivia wall: separate the enemy team. So push their tanks away from their squishies or vice versa, overpower the isolated targets, and run through the Azir wall with the speed boost to chase down the rest of the team.
you can also use his ult as a disengage tool and block off jungle paths with it

After playing Azir some more, imo he's not going to be a very favored pick. He's kinda like a mix between Heimer and Oriana except he has less burst than heimer and less support than Ori.

IMO his E is his weakest skill because it stops him at the 1st champ he hits. If it behaved more like J4 where it goes through and knocks up champs, it would be much more preferred and could help setup some sweet Ults. Right now, he has a very supportive ultimate that is going to be difficult setting up in team fights.

In 1v1 he can be a lane bully like Heimer & even Ori to an extent, his sentries do not take turret aggro so you can harass easily beyond enemy turrets, he also has a decent chase/escape potential but you need to use all 3 abilities W-->Q-->E, he can jump a pretty far ways doing this, easily escaping ganks or closing a gap, as long as an enemy champ doesnt get in way of your E and as long as mana permits.

Compared to other mages, I do not think he has enough late game strengths and while he can be a bully early game, I wouldn't say it's oppressive like Heimer's. I really think this guy needs a better E and even his Ult should be tuned up, something with better damage, like if the sentry wall attacked nearest enemies, could help with some AoE damage in team fights.

I think they put a ton of his power into pushing/tower control. I agree about his E though, even on paper it looks off. I think it's supposed to be a "decision" on how to use it but it really isn't.

I've been playing CassiOPeia in 3's more often of late and have been meaning to get some ranked games on her. These changes look awesome and could potentially make her into a pretty beast hypercarry.

Cassiopeia Rework on the PBR
[Passive]Aspect of the Serpent
Old passive: removed!
New passive: Cassiopeia gains a stack of Aspect of the Serpent for each second that an enemy champion is poisoned and for each poisoned unit that she kills. Her ability power is increased by 1% for every 25 stacks, up to a max of 375 stacks.
At 50 stacks, Twin Fang now heals Cassiopeia for 6/8/10/12/16 (+0.1 ability power)
At 150 stacks, Cassioepeia gains 30% CDR
At 375 stacks, the AP bonus from Aspect of the Serpent is doubled.

[Q]Noxious Blast
Provides Cassiopeia more movement speed later in the game but, in turn, deals less damage.
Damage: 70/105/140/175/210 (+0.35 ability power)
Movement speed: 10/15/20/25/30%
Cooldown: 4 seconds
Mana cost: 40/45/50/55/60
Delay increased by 0.05 seconds

[W]Miasma
Now a notably more powerful slow tool but has a higher cooldown and deals less damage.
Damage per second: 10/15/20/25/30 (+0.1 ability power)
Cooldown: 15 seconds
Mana cost: 40/50/60/70/80
Slow: 15/22.5/30/37.5/45%

[E]Twin Fang
Is now MUCH more reliable when checking for poisoned targets and has a higher AP ratio later in the game. Also, now grants mana upon killing a unit.
Damage: 55/80/105/130/155 (+0.4/0.45/0.5/0.55/0.6 ability power)
Mana cost: 30/45/60/75/90
Utility: Now refunds its mana cost plus an additional 3% of Cassiopeia's total mana when it kills a unit.
Usability: Now has additional checks in place to see if target was poisoned.

[R]Petrifying Gaze
Lower cooldown, but also slightly lower damage.
Damage: 150/250/350 (+0.5 ability power)
Cooldown: 120/110/100

And that's it. I'm sure Cassiopeia veterans out there have some concerns about some of these damage changes, so I'd like to highlight a few things. The reliability change to Twin Fang cannot be understated. This has huge implications on her DPS potential. More E's with a higher ratio = more DPS. For anyone used to playing Cassiopeia, you'll notice a difference immediately. Much of her kit has been restructured to make Twin Fang more accessible 30% CDR, buffed movespeed on Q, a buffed slow on W, and a lower cooldown on R all come together to make Cassiopeia's damage more readily available. Additionally, the life on hit on Twin Fang allows Cassiopeia to stay in fights for longer periods of time, much like lifesteal does for AD carries. This means Cassiopeia will be free to do more damage over the course of a fight. Aspect of the Serpent grants Cassiopeia significant AP in the late game. This'll help make up for some of the base damage tuning, but also simply give her more damage than ever before at full build.

Yea that passive is insane. I have played Cass this season 4-5x. Always liked her, I look forward to the buff!

In light of the "Monte" situation and Bjergsen's poor performance, I had an idea that was quickly rejected by redditors

Coaches should coach in real-time during games. : leagueoflegends

Just like in athletic sports, a coach should be there making decisions in real time and should have the opportunity to be the shot-caller during a game.

In the past it probably wasn't reasonable to expect teams to all have coaches but it seems like almost all LCS teams now have one.
Having a coach in-game would allow the 5 starting players more freedom to make big-plays without burdening them with shot calling. And it would up the quality of plays and competitive games in general.

We all saw how Bjergsen's performance took a major hit this season, most likely attributed to the fact he took the role of shot-caller. And we all saw how CLG were outclassed completely because they don't have anyone that could make calls.

And although this addition should help give us better competition, plays and games, it might also solve some of the "Monte situation" that has arisen recently. This change would prevent Monte from being the official coach of CLG without actually being present in the USA. Coaches would have to practice WITH their team and could actually take more blame (or credit) for losses/wins. Right now coaches can easily pass off blame to the players and are generally held unaccountable unless called-out (as was Monte).
