This is also Bungie which basically had a $100 per year sub to Destiny. So they will be asking for every penny they can get. Cash shops, seasonal $$ and expansion $$.
Unless seasonal updates turn this into a PVE experience or drastically change the focus of the game [...] I guess I don't really understand how the game as it played over the weekend is meant to reward your time in a gratifying way?
just curious what the interest here is but it's clearly over my head

Am I crazy when I say just figuring out how to get into a game was confusing?I think the world and aesthetics are really cool, but the extraction part isn't great. The UI which is the 2nd or 3rd most important part of an extractor is terrible.
I'd say in terms of importance for an extraction shooters it goes:
1. Loot - I think the loot is dragged down by the UI in this game.
2. Gun Play - They have this down.
3. UI - Very terrible
#4 is more than likey proximity chat since this is what made Arc Raiders the #1 in the genre.
While i'd say its not surprising that RE9 being ahead of a game not even released, ontop of it being two entirely different crowds but w/e doesn't really matter(One of them being Rainbow 6 Siege lol)
250 million to make this piece of shit. That’s amazing.

How sis they spend that much when they stole most of the assets? 50 million after production costs to not be sued?
That said, can I just state how sick I am of the neon/bright pink and light blue colors featured prominently in so many games these days. It’s like the 80s decided to vomit up the worst parts of the color palette of that decade into the graphial elements in new games(be it UI or part of spell colors and such). And there is no way it is «for visibility».
Seriously. Next time there is an expo, be it pc/playstation/xbox and they run through several new/upcoming games, take notice of how many games feature them. If you haven’t noticed I apologize, it’s a once you see, you can’t unsee type of thing.
Pcgamer gets a lot of checks.
