The 10% is additive. It's pretty insignificant.
I mean I've leveling Cyclops first but if I'd really stopped to think about it, I probably wouldn't have.

Is it insignificant? Its 10% faster for every subsequent character up to the cap which this game incentivizes doing. Its a lot of saved time in the long run

If you're planning to level up the entire cast of the game to 60 or do a ton of prestiging then maybe Cyke first pays off. I think most of us are going to tire of it in a week or less as the nostalgia wears off.

Well it's also good to bear in mind that Cyclops is a pretty shitty hero, so even if you're going full sperg you'd probably still come out ahead leveling Cyclops like 4th or 5th rather than first.

Eh, it definitely gives you a particularly bad first impression if you didn't experience the BUE back when Gaz initially pushed it but if it were that bad I already would have uninstalled.
As far as Cyclops goes, banging him out on a midtown monday is definitely the way to do it since multi-boss fights are the one place where he really excels.

Game is fine, play what you want, its a bonus to do Cyclops first but as far as I know and have read, this is as much as we are ever going to get, dev wise, so why does it matter if you go a tiny bit faster? Enjoy yourself. All roads lead to the same destination.

It's too bad that this has been so popular and thus laggy. It's really messing with my enjoyment of a lot of things. Hopefully they take donations to upgrade the servers. Running holo-sim and seeing mobs warp around, health bars getting frozen, etc. really sucks.
I went Cable first, since Wolverine, Cyclops, and him used to have pretty good synergies back in the day. I don't know if it's the BUE, but I don't remember Cable being this bad. Maybe he always was though? HIs damage seems terrible.

Part of it is that most of your gameplay memories are of being lvl 60 with a maxed out legendary, blessed meta artifacts, etc.
Although according to the TTK chart on the previous page his damage is pretty bad. He does manage to come in under 2 minutes (barely) which saves him from being absolute bottom of the barrel. Dummy TTK isn't perfectly representative of how much damage a hero does while you're leveling them up but it's reasonably accurate.
