This is correct. Thanos didn't need the Holocaust to be Lawful Evil, neither does Magneto. His stance on what humans will do to mutants is reasonable, justifiable, and proven correct over and over in the comics.

I've never liked alternate takes on characters. You want to run with a different idea? Then build a new character around the idea. Whether it's a no holocaust Magneto, or making Superman gay/trans, whatever... if these cunts had any creativity or talent they'd be able to make something new instead of destroying what is already great.
It reminds me of that Star Trek: The Next Generation episode where the race speaks based on their stories: Shaka, when the walls fell. It works when everyone understands the references, which their race does and the Enterprise crew does not. Changing the characters --motives, race, etc-- removes our ability to relate to those characters because now we have to start with, "Which version?" instead of, "Of course Captain America/Superman did that... he's a Boy Scout." It's annoying as fuck.

How about a Cambodian Magneto who lost his family to the Khmer Rouge? It's a win win, Hollywood gets to race-swap a white character, we get to be thankful that at least he isn't black. Also maybe we get to see a scene of him brutally murdering communists like the Villa Gesell scene from First Class.

Maybe they will have the balls to do a full on lockdown of all mutants, concentration camps and experiments because the government does not recognize them as humans and as such the rights do not apply, some really ugly shit happens and we get a magneto based on an old idea but actually updated somewhat for a modern era.

the reset is coming and all of this will be a wash and just a one off as the future will be set anew clean slate
will tom holland still be Spider-Man? Yes
does this movie magically establish and have this “woah woah!!!! We have mutants finally!” ? No
it was all a work and gimmick
The fix is coming and all will be erased, destroyed, and undone as they realized they needed to reset and no more being pigeonholed by multiverse stuff and so many unfinished story branches that came from after credit scenes and there will be marvels’ “their way” bring in mutants and characters that should of been side by side so many characters from the very beginning

Why would it if Mutants have already been introduced years ago. Ms. Marvel was the first named mutant in the MCU and they introduced "the first mutant" Namor.

It's way easier to introduce characters off well established properties. We know we are getting at-least 2 more Holland Spiderman's. We know Sadie Sink is Jean Gray for the MCU X-Men Run. They can make up whatever thing they want to say why mutants are coming into existence now. Deadpool isn't done either and some of the legacy Avengers like Thor will likely get another film.
Peter building the inhibitor allows the typical Mutant vs Mutant narrative happen easier. If they do change Magneto they will use it for his backstory and they will def have bad guys influenced by it. Secret Wars will be a reset, but only in that the focus will turn to the X-Men, not that they will completely ditch the Avengers. Earth has to go back to where it was to some degree. Maybe everyone remembers what happens and the world says fuck these people and builds those camps and rules etc. We are also unlikely to see solo X-Men movies for awhile, team ups are where the money is, with some exceptions. Deadpool 4 introducing the new Wolverine? sure why not, but we are likely to get a trio of full team X-Men films and not an Cyclops solo film. Other then Gossling in Ghost Rider, his name can carry a solo movie.

Speaking of this . Jean pulling off what she did at her age was comparable to professor x did in Logan, she shouldn’t have been able to do that yet. Professor X would need a 24/7/365 cerebro to pull off such a level of what your comment says which isn’t possible.
