You do realize Jean is more powerful than Professor X, even without the Phoenix Force. She is an Omega Level mutant. Xavier isn't.
Speaking of this . Jean pulling off what she did at her age was comparable to professor x did in Logan, she shouldn’t have been able to do that yet. Professor X would need a 24/7/365 cerebro to pull off such a level of what your comment says which isn’t possible.

That stupid term from X-men 3 and forcing me to go google it. It was used one time in 1986 then all the way in 2001.

professor x is even listed as one also to go with your own counter

without that dumb 2000s garbage just like the rest of 2010s garbage comics they put out to have a “see see it’s in the comics so it can be in the movies” professor x has always been the measuring stick for mind control and Jean had some but also combined with being able to move stuff with her mind as well it was only with phoenix was she more powerful

I haven’t touched comics since the 90s as to me X-men is then and the animated show and anything beyond was just gay alphabet stuff or to reinforce what they wanted in movies but are interchangeable to subvert and take over to make theirs

Early xmen, Xavier could use his mind to blow up sentinels. That always was hard for me to get past

That theater was silent after Infinity War. I was with a bunch of non-turbo nerds that didn’t expect more than a happy ending avengers movie as usual.

How does a younger Magneto even work? We're now 80 years from the holocaust.

Stupid question I know, since they'll just retcon anything to make it work.
As I mentioned a ways back... Magneto wasn't always a Holocaust survivor. THat was reconned into his character in the early 80's in the Christ Claremont era IIRC.

Its the entire reason for his actions and identity. He wouldnt have a philosphical disagreement with X if he didnt go through that. Wouldnt even be the same character.
That's incorrect. In his original incarnation (No religious/holocaust backstory) he was still a mutant supremacist, ran the brotherhood of evil mutant. (Although now they'd have to be called the "folks of misunderstood socio-genetic background" but still). You don't need to be a persecuted Jew to have pattern recognition go into overdrive and decide all the "others" must be eliminated.. (Hell, just go check the Politics forum here for examples. heh) That's exactly what Magneto was about, Charles was the "get along guy". Essentially Malcom X v. Martin Luther King for mutants.

Yeah, I remember going in to see it knowing what I know. Versus Mrs Haus and a lot of our friends who went along who ... well... really didn't.

I even tried to prep those who would get the reference with "Just know, this is going to be the "The Empire Strikes Back" of this series....but worse."
