They certainly backloaded the content for this title. After starting out on a very linear and uninspiring path I've reached the point where I finish one mission and I have email / messages / etc. piled up with everyone REALLY wanting me to go do their thing like NOW. This has been the case in all the Mass Effect/ Dragon Age/TOR titles to a certain degree, but it seems especially overloaded this time primarily because they added so much content that you have to go back to various planets for.

I'm actually okay with them taking the time to include a longer-timeframe with respect to the various worlds you visit since it allows you to have more of an integrated progression, there's just so very much of the stuff to do and odd gating associated with the main quests.

Ironically one of the pieces that ties everything together actually distracts from the rest of the game. Having the same vault business on every world is a key element of the main plotline, but it waters down what local flair there is for each world because ultimately the goal on any planet is to get to and deal with the vault. This was similarly done with the Fade/Rift business in Dragon Age Inquisition... and indeed the elements that are most clunky in this are lifts from DA:I

My step son rented this on red box for spring break. And I'm still not playing it. Lol. I'm actually proud of myself right now.

I stay away from that red box shit. At first I was all "cool! I can get games for the kids while I grocery shop." I rented 2 games for my kids, took them back like a week later and got charged like $70. Man fuck that noise.

Yeah it's 3 bucks a day or something, so you will want to make sure you bring them back within a few days. Obviously gamefly is a better option, but they are out of shit half the time and you end up waiting. (At least the last time I used it. I never got the games I actually wanted)

Please do tell me more about what I should or shouldn't like. Then get mad about people telling you to accept trannies.

It's cool to tell people how they should live and feel but if they do the same shit, screeching ensues,

Hainsley ain't gonna fuck you bro

Gamefly is easy to manipulate.

Send back what you have out by Thurs of the week before a new release (maybe Wed if your local PO sucks at Fast Return scanning). Don't keep anything already released in your queue. Put the new game in the #1 slot with shipping preferences set to "Hold my Q for 3 days..." I haven't failed to get a new release shipped out immediately since the middle of the PS3 era.

GF rocks if you live near a shipping center. I get games pretty quick from them but unfortunately they are out of shit a lot like you said.

And people told me that powergaming had no real world applications.

Yah, just had a conversation with Kallo my pilot. He got into a fight with Gil (whom I have no feeling for one way or the other) and was reminded why I can't stand either of them. Kallo says that all salarians have eidetic memories. He's talking like a drell.

Oh my fucking God 2 hours just to get past bullshit back and forth quests on the Nexus for like 100xp a piece. Horribly written.

Run here. Load. Run here. Shit dialogue. Run back. Press down on D pad. Run here. Load here. Shit dialogue. Run back. Down on D pad. Run again. Load. Quest over.

Again and again and again.

Planet scanning. Load I to system. Load into planet. Hold L2 for 2 mins. Follow arrow. Press R2. Found a crater. Does nothing. Adds nothing to gameplay. Load out. Load into another planet. Probe for 2 minutes. 40 Aluminum, cool. Load out. Load into next planet. Hold L2.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST.

And can I really not customize and change the colors of my armor and shit?
No squadmate customization, no load out, no skill commands. What the FUCKKK.

I keep trying so hard to play this. It's like it purposefully pushes me away.

Go into your cabin on the Tempest and take a hard left. There's a console in the corner that lets you change colors for both casual wear and armor. The interface for it is awkward enough that typing in a 6 digit RGB hex code manually would have gotten the job done better, but at least it exists.

Can't help you with the rest, there's just a lot of shitty systems and UX design.

What? Does scanning for a period of time actually do anything? When I scan a planet I either get a hit immediately, or I cancel the scan. If I get a hit, I cancel the scan and rotate the planet to where the sparkle or black patch is and then rescan to get the minerals/xp. It's a pretty dull system but is far less time consuming and annoying than the unskippable cutscenes/animations you have to watch every time you fly anywhere/take off/land from anything.

Yeah, when you hit L2 it tells you instantly if there's anything to find. If she doesn't say something about an anomaly, move on to the next one.

I was playing it about 20 minutes ago when I froze to death fighting the architect (the big robot worm on Voeld). I alt F4'd out. I could almost take the misplaced quests. In other words, you'd get the quests on Aya and it'd be under Aya, but it was to go to two other worlds, but the quest wouldn't appear under those worlds. So you'd finish all the quests on a particular world just to find out that you have to go back. And you know the terminals, I just stopped reading them. I'm just like, "Yeah, whatever. Blah blah blah, you believe blah blah blah, isn't science and faith wonderful blah blah blah, some tranny shit."

Fucking crazy dumpster fire. Oh and the best part, I'm playing as a biotic right? Biotics are useless against the fucking architects. Man, that was seventy bucks well spent.

I switched over to a Sentinel build and it's much more effective than Adept was (unless you go with Charge/Lance/Annihilation which just wasn't the style of gameplay I was looking for). I'm using Energy Drain/Incinerate/Lance now. Lance is the only biotic skill worth keeping because you can spec it to consume barrier to remove the cooldown, which has the cost reduced by the Sentinel profile. That way you're free to go all-in on tech power recharge speed on armor and augs.

Frankly though I'm not entirely convinced that it wouldn't be even better if I replaced Lance with Overload. The main downside there is the Engineer profile is shit, so you have to waste a lot of points in biotics to even get rank 5, let alone rank 6 Sentinel.

Cool, thanks. Level design is confusing and a nightmare to navigate cause I get stuck on everything so I have yet to explore all the areas. I feel like there's no 'homebase' or hub, it seems like everything important, useful, or noteworthy is spread out everywhere.

Also, on EOS and can't complete 50% of my quests because Radiation is instadeath. So I guess you just have to wait for radiation to clear to come all the way back to an old planet just to finish some collection quests? Lol, fucking retarded.

On Hardcore or Insanity I am dying pretty much instantly. There is no way to heal and I have to use Cloak to manuever or escape and let shields recharge. Why the fuck would they not even give you like an Omni gel for small quantities of healing?

I just had an entire camp of Kett run into a rock and get stuck after a long fight. So they are invincible and just sitting in a rock murdering everyone from it and no way to pull them out. This has happened three times now and I can't complete the little objective there because of it.

The scan system alerts you of what's on the planet, yeah, but for instance on one of my planets it said there was an anomaly only to load in and find a 'crater'. Which is literally just a crater on the planet. No resources, no quest. Just loading in and out constantly for the dumbest shit.

I find that 95% of quests are me spending 15 minutes to run or get somewhere to press Triangle or Down on D Pad to scan and then it's over. Spend 15 minutes running back or to the next thing.

Crafting seems OK I guess but then you can just buy whatever the fuck you want from vendors so it's like uhhh, OK? What's the point?

Also these skills are frustrating as fuck. 50 cool skills to choose from, 40 are literally not viable unless playing on Easy. LOL. LOL. LOL.
Come the fuck on, man.
If I get the skills I want to have fun, I can't drop anything with shields. Can't rely on teammate to do it because can't control their skillset. So, you HAVE to have some sort of Incinerate or Overload or whatever equipped. Then ALL of the weapon skills are in Combat class points, so you HAVE to drop tons of points into Combat unless you want to fuck yourself and have zero specialised weapon skill upgrades. LOL.
Fuck you, Bioware.

This is the worst AAA title I've ever paid for and the most disappointing game I've ever looked forward to playing.

What's even sadder is the only way to really get this game to an acceptable, much less 'good' or 'great' game standard would be to completely gut and redevelop so much shit that it's not feasible.

Fuck you, Bioware.
SJW cuckfucks.

Use the instant Shield refill consumable.
