With a budget of 200 million maybe they should have got Chris Hemsworth or something instead of this loser to front it.

Nah, that guy did a good job. He looks pretty huge and ripped in the movie. And he looks like He-Man. Doesn't look a thing like the dude in the picture. Maybe there's an actor that could have played the part and pulled in some fans, but I doubt it. It's a dead Intellectual Property that they are having to reboot. This was a good movie. When it comes on streaming, it will do well because people will give it a shot. The issue is most people don't care about He-Man to spend money at the movies, a lot of people have no idea what this IP even is. The Amazon team is at least aware that this movie is a jumping off point to reboot the IP, it was never going to make much at the box office, but the hope is streaming success and the Amazon Prime He-Man shows they are already greenlighting.

Agree with the above. I had critiqued the build before seeing the movie from trailers and other pictures. He pulls it off well.

He is soft ripped if that makes sense. Not cut like modern superheroes but he has a big frame and clearly lifts.

His goofy face also worked, it's He-man.

Nobody care(ed?)(s) about the he-man ip. Kids loved it in the 80s because they were starved for adventure stories and toys about fighting. It was basically a void being filled the most cost effective way possible. Its staying power over time was he man singing gay songs or skeletor vs beastman
