Looking at that article, it sounds like the other way around? They say that the handholding Navi characters aren't present for most of the game.

At this point, I'll probably like the game because my expectations are so low and I'm sure it'll be decent enough. If I'd gone in blind with sky-high expectations I would have thought it sucked.

I'll say this for the game too, the graphics are hands-down the nicest visuals of any game Nintendo has EVER published.

I'll receive my copy tomorrow and hopefully I can play it some over the weekend.

I'm not worried about the negative reviews, I don't really have expectations, I just want to play some new Metroid. If it ends up pretty mediocre, then hopefully that tells Nintendo they should instead focus on the 2D/3D remasters of older classic side-scrolling Metroid games.

shitty new suit design. Always so awful. always end up going to back to the original/varia/gravity suits... these organic/sleek ones are just total garbage.
Samus not talking is even MORE out of place in this shit... I don't want her to talk.. but this is dumb..

I'd love to see a 3D version of Super Metroid using the Metroid Prime engine. Pretty much the only remake of Super that would actually be worthwhile to do because it'd be so different (no Mercury Steam 2.5D remake of Super, TY)

At this point given how rare Metroid games are and all, it feels silly to even wish for something like that. It's kinda like wishing for a Morrowind 2 (the southern half) or talking about what you want to see in the Summerset Isles game.

Yeah, ES and Metroid are similar for me in that they're both series I love that have been totally ball-dropped over time.

Didn't preorder, I guess we'll see if I'm able to pick one up tomorrow as a walk-in. Asked GameStop about a midnight launch, sounsed like that sort of thing doesn't happen anymore.

Yeah I'm also wondering WTF is up with the suit. It looks like something out of Tron.

Making her a mute when she has all these guys yapping at her was also a choice
