Well, I think personal attacks are pretty much always inappropriate. Certainly those negs by Hodj are pretty silly and diminish him in my eye, even if it is just simply trying to get your goat. I am under no illusion that he will stop simply because of this post, but I hope the next time he decides to launch personal attacks on you, maybe he will think for a split second (and probably do it anyway!). The only time I can think they are appropriate is actually with Sean, since he uses his personal status of being able to play video games constantly as a badge of honor and then complains when people point that out.

As for this whole topic and rational posting though, I can follow your arguments on sexism, racism etc. However, on this topic, communism, you do seem to check your intelligence at the door. Dumar has not answered some simple and I believe important questions on the topic. Yet you come in the middle of the conversation in this thread and in the suicide thread and declare Dumar the winner. Did you bother to read the posts? Hell, contribute yourself and answer these questions if you think they are so easy or Dumar is winning. You complained that I was a bodyguard for Hodj, well you seem to be nothing more than a bodyguard to Dumar.

Honestly, I am at a bit of a loss with this entire feud and why so many people have to go out of their way to attack you. Even in the Zimmerman stuff, before your position on the case changed, you were rational. Contrast that with Duppin, TJ Lazer and Numbers. Why the ridiculous level of hatred leveled at you? Is it because they were "trolling" and they take you seriously? It is almost a schtick now that the minute you post the personal attacks remove any hope that a conversation can happen. Anyway, not that I have any control over what you do anyway. Ignore Hodj and keep your sig or whatever. All I am saying is, why not try and be the better man? For whatever reason Hodj really seems genuinely rustled by either you or your debating style. I have Lumie and Bak on ignore though, so maybe Im just a hypocrite.

Lastly, one more point in this wall of text. You mentioned that just doing wikipedia research and googling things doesn't make Hodj an expert. True, it does not. However, we shouldn't need expert knowledge to debate these things. Unlike many posters, at least he looks up enough of the information to have an intelligent debate. If people can't shut down his knowledge that he gained from wikipedia, what does it say about the ability of those arguments to win a debate in the real scientific community?
