The problem I have with your examples is they are under conditions where there is a clear external threat to the community, this has a way of unifying people that they would never otherwise unify under conditions that have a less external threat to unify them.
There is no evidence that it would work as a long term stable government where fear of external threats trumps all other divisions.

Umm, I'm in the least oppressed group of people imaginable. If I were rich, I'd be deciding the rules we'd all have to follow. No oppression here. Also, I have zero white guilt, nor do I have any reason to feel any. It is nothing less than remarkable how often people try to use that as some kind of counter to whatever I'm saying.
