I think the more appropriate term is that no one gave a shit what you believed, and still don't. Your allies in Congress will be soundly defeated and the country will begin to tack back to the left once the dust finally settles from this fiasco. In the meantime, the core demographic of the TeaBagger Patriots; old as shit, TypeII Diabetes having, motor scooter riding racists will continue to die off in droves because that's what old, unhealthy Baby Boomers do. Pubs had an opportunity to hurt Obama here, but they were too busy chasing dragons and fairy tales to see it.
The roll out of the health website is a complete disaster. Had the Pubs sat back, and waited for a good opportunity, rather than trying to create an opportunity through rash and half baked actions like causing a government shutdown, the whole news cycle right this minute would be nothing but what a disaster the health care rollout is.
Pubs screwed the pooch on this one, Boehner should lose his speakership, Ted Cruz should be permanently exiled to our Siberia and mocked as a pederast in perpetuity.
As someone who enjoys American politics almost exclusively as an exercise in enjoying the suffering of others, the Republicans actions in this whole news cycle/debate have been glorious to behold.

Yep, Obama had been pretty much getting bad press since his reelection. First the push on gun control which went badly for him, then the NSA, then Syria. The healthcare rollout website being a disaster could have been the icing on the cake for Republicans. Instead, they made their silly shutdown the story. Almost criminally stupid.
