I know the conversation is moving fast and furious, but never did I explicitly state that decency=morality.
I will restate my argument simply to make it clear:
Government censorship is bad in all forms because it is too subjective and too easily manipulated by the powers that be. You don't have the right to tell me what media I'm allowed to digest as long as it has no victims (snuff films, child porn). Nor do I have the right to tell you what to watch.
If you don't like it, turn it off. If you don't want your kiddo being exposed to Miley Cyrus, then keep it on the fricking Disney Channel in the mornings and check the traffic on your laptop like everyone else under the age of 50 does.
I don't know what to say. Your argument is entirely predicated on idea that not-normal = suppression of it in public is justified. I don't see how that follows so I asked directly what difference it makes. I literally don't know how to say it any better.

Because 85% of the country labels themselves Christian and it permeates every aspect of our society. Are you really that out of it that you don't see the undue influence religion has on our society?
1. I still don't want to have this derail right in the middle of the censorship debate.
2. I'm not convinced you and I share the same definitions of those terms (the distinction you draw between communism and socialism is particularly troubling as is your implication that there exist any communist nations).

My argument is predicated on not having my kids involuntarily exposed to offensive material and asking our social deviants to respect a common moral standard held by the vast majority of our community instead of flinging it into our face.

How can you argue one method is the best with zero experimental evidence to support the claim?
So say those faggots do assemble in their public space. Now the police show up. What ethical reason can you give those faggots to agree to disperse and not use violence to defend themselves from the police (for the sake of argument we'll assume for the moment that they can win)?

Every compromise or agreement is held in place by the threat of legal action and finally violence. How the fuck do you think ANYTHING gets enforced in any country?

Why are so you being so dense? GOVERNMENT censorship of non snuff porn is UNNECESSARY. As soon as NBC shows a couple dudes blowing each other in prime time, they lose every single sponsor, 100% of their ad revenue, and 90% of their viewership and promptly leave the airwaves because they are bankrupt. No unnecessary laws need be enacted to make that happen.
