Whenever you immediately dismiss or think less of someone simply because of where they are from or the color of their skin.because it's one thing to say racial slurs and one thing to speak of racial stereotype.
Obviously not, which is why I made the sarcastic post in the Amod forum asking them to ban panface. Is me saying "sup my nuggers" an example of casual racism?
Dumar, do you consider this an unimportant question? You haven't answered it when Hodj or I have asked it. I know you aren't interested in debating Hodj, but don't you think this is an important and an obvious question that needs to be asked? I can't wrap my head around how a land without personal property can deal with something like this.Anyway, let me reiterate what I believe is a very important question. In the absence of personal property, who makes decisions on land use? If Hodj, who being from Kentucky harbors a deep need to be a plantation owner, comes to my farm and decides to plant cotton there instead of corn, who decides what we can plant? If Hodj decides to cut down the Black Walnut trees to plant blackberry bushes, can he do that?Who decides?
Khalid, do you consider this an unimportant question? You haven't answered it when I have asked it. Don't you think this is an important and an obvious question that needs to be asked? [/QUOTE]I feel like we should know more about Khalid.
Khalid, tell us about yourself. Where do you live, what do you do, what do you like?
I dont want to attack you, I'm not even engaging in whatever it is you're trying to debate. No, I dont consider where I am from important in this context. I have already laid out a great deal of personal information on my upbringing here and in other threads. Look my American Inventor, perhaps if you return the favor I will feel like you are trying to have a genuine conversation and not just find some context to attack me
i dunno. i didn't see it as dismissing. i think that when there is a stereotype, there is a measure of truth to that statement. The way media contextualized Travyon, it was completely opposite of what he really was as a person. I think that this measure of fear and paranoia of "stereotype" do more harm than good because imagine if CNN straight out reported the news the way it was meant to be: the truth. Just straight up said, "Trayvon was a fucking punk, got high, and has a history of criminality."Whenever you immediately dismiss or think less of someone simply because of where they are from or the color of their skin.
This can go both ways. The racism of those that immediately thought "Trayvon had it coming" and was an obvious thug simply because he was black. Or the racism of those that thought that if Trayvon attacked Zimmerman for following him, they should have known better, because apparently Trayvon was an animal who instantly had to respond with physical violence.
We're going to have to ex-fract your for using the incorrect spelling of American Inventor.Wassup my nuggers.
He used the correct spelling of the n word.
He shawed me for replying in the politics thread.Numbers isn't my favorite poster, but a permanent or even temporary shawing longer than a day or two for sending Draegan a PM is probably unjust, and so I support his liberation.
