A random haji driving his own vehicle on any american post in iraq without escort is ridiculous. A cleared TCN or one of the major contractors personnel sure, but lawl we got some guy from the village to come fix our internet is an obvious lie.

He was better at fixing our satellite internet while growing up in Iraq than his guys also.

I fixed the sat shots for the entire western half of Iraq and went to every call I ever got to make sure my guys were taken care of. I made sure that I made a deal with the colonel's QRF so they got all the flight and drive time they could want and I made sure everyone was good.

But you let some random local into your COP to fix your MWR link.

Wait I think you are that stupid to put everyone at risk for something he might have just turned off and back on.

Well for one our internet wasnt the mwr, it was our own private satellite connection we paid for. Secondly the local internet guy wasnt the only iraqi we had come onto the fob, we hosted a few locals we worked with frequently a number of times(hell our interpreter left the fob and came back multiple times on his own). Also our fob was co-located with a iraqi army camp, able to freely walk into it and did so every so often to buy some stuff.

Also true story; we made a special trip up to Al Asad to pickup two Navy sat techs to fix our AFN satellite after a bad duststorm knocked it out of alignment. They wherent able to get it realigned.

Conditions and the like is all bullshit posturing, much like the TSA. Its done to placate the sheep and make the people running things look like theyre doing something so they can write up 5 pages of bullshit on their performance review.

If you went to Al Asad in 2008-2009 and didn't talk to me yeah you were wasting your time. Aligning a dish is one of the simplest things to do on the planet. You have the entire sky to work with.

Thanks, eenis. My sons wanted to "do what daddy did in the Army" ever since they were infants while I served in DS and the many years to come after that. Too bad they could not be peacetime opps which is what I'm am hopeful for if my grandsons ever join.

If anyone is JAG or has experience with ASAP please let me know. I think I want to self refer myself and just want to know if that is my best option. I've never been in trouble and I'm not in any trouble right now. I just want to do better for myself and my family. Thanks.

It's a one time get out of jail free card. If you're not having issues with your command and are serious about what you say, then contact your post/region POC and let your FLL know.

They can just go up the chain of command. Read today that a group at the pentagon said they would retire if Trump was elected.

Lol all the pilots must be pissing their pants.
Why? Last zoomy I shared space with had no desire to be locked in a meat locker while "flying". Also, the airframe they're being incorporated into flying - flies itself. It also (correct me if I'm wrong) lacks any armament so there is no shoot/don't shoot involved. Like the article itself says, desk jockies have been "flying" satellites for a while - this isn't much different.

I work at a Global Hawk base; this won't really change anything in terms of actual operations. The enlisted SO's already do a majority of the work, this just adds a bigger pool to pull people from and (might) lessen the rate that actual pilots get force cross-trained to unmanned.

Having any AFSC/job limited to officer/enlisted is retarded, anyway. It doesn't require a college degree to learn how to fly a plane.
