My thoughts too. It's kind of funny that I've loved Jack Black forever, but can't stand him anymore because of his politics. At the same time, I've got a lot of respect for Shai Leboof just because of his role in Fury. Doesn't even make sense to me.

A Minecraft movie done to a similar standard as Lego could be great, but I find Jack Black exhausting in doses of more than a couple minutes.

The Bob Hoskins Mario movie was more timely than this.

The Mario and Sonic movies arent timely yet do well. My 8 year old nephew is obsessed with Minecraft. This movie will probably do well at the box office.

Love that I’m now one of those parents that hears the first line of the trailer being “What the hell?” and immediately thinks “nope, 6 year old doesn’t need to see that.”

He’ll be 7 by the time it comes out, not sure that makes a difference. Maybe I’m over protective or whatever. But why do we need cussing in a Minecraft movie? Whatever… grouchy Dad.

It's massive amongst streamers too. Hololive is doing a Minecraft event right now with a company crafted RPG world and shit. It's pretty interesting.

It's a great game and still improving steadily, honestly. I've played dozens of hours with my kids over the last couple years.

Still not sold on the movie.
