Miniature Painting

I can't wait to get my first paint session in my new office, it will be pure Zen! I have a recliner I am putting in there and I can just wheel that Husky Cart super close to grab everything I need. With that in mind could any of you recommend a good occupational light that has a clamp mount? I am hoping to be able to clamp them on the handle of this...

I believed I was a nerd but I went to a neighbor city this week to check out a warhammer/paint store. They had a room with like 5 tables for battles and a painting section. Filled with Uber nerds discussing various units and lore.

They took my nerdiness down to 5/10 while they were 10/10 or above. I felt a bit envious as I don't have anything like that here where I live.

You could still be an 8 or 9. The leap to 10 is just that extreme.

One of my favorite old school models and characters. I have used the old pewter mini as part of many conversions.

Also older news with this army, though I special painted a new hero for it. But a few old school 8th edition WHFB guys wanted to do a one day tourney this weekend and I got specifically asked to roll out this list again. Its my old comped soft to the stupid Swedish system Unicorn based army. Its collected four trophies on my mantle, including two Best General awards. Army is still only one loss with the Unicorn rider in the list (couple draws though) mostly owning to people not knowing the army and having no clue what to do against it. Fun list with a little bit of everything and no leaning on six dice horse shit. Eighth Ed might make a bit of a comeback in Texas, excluding the munchkins.

That army was a labor of love with many conversions in it (Wild Rider tops on archer bottoms to make my eternal guard, elaborate Sisters of Twilight conversion that I used as a Great Eagle, bits bashed girl on an elk for my Stag Rider BSB, ect). Always had fun playing it and no one ever complained about facing it. And I am the Warhammer player who always brings the frog scroll (hence the squeaky toys) in my army. It won me one game outright this weekend (frogged a Slaan LOL). I am too old to do the GT circuit of every other month flying around the country, but it was fun to dust off one of my favorite creations and painting projects.

Yeah when we were still playing Kings regularly, my wife used that terrain set for all the dioramas for her Basilean (angels and nuns) army. Its a really great kit.
