That looked like it might be a pretty deep bruise for Phillips.

Tuesday in Pittsburgh the Pirates will play their first playoff game in 20 years. In that time the Penguins and Steelers have made the playoffs 16 and 13 times respectively.

Liriano don't fail us now.

And with a whimper, the Reds lackadaisically shuffle into the postseason. Remember, they've been here before.

After shitting off half of September the Rangers decide to make game 162 matter.

If you win the division the problem is solved.

Fun time for the Rangers. If they finish out the Angels (which would be their third sweep of that team this year), they get to play again Tomorrow against Tampa Bay just so they can play against Cleveland in the 1 game playoff which would be Wednesday. They're in a situation where they'd have to get to 10 wins in a row in order to play Boston in the Divisional Round.

Couldn't have played out better for Cleveland, regardless of who wins game 163 they won't be facing either Price or Darvish in the Wild Card play in game.

Cleveland's hot as hell right now.

What is up with these glaringly wrong umpire calls in these one-and-done postseason games? That should have been a Rays run at the very least.

They are there every day. It's just magnified in the playoffs. It will never happen, but would love to see just one game called by a robot. Balls/Strikes only.
