As a "Yankees fan", it can be difficult to sometimes reconcile my general feelings towards how fucking gross New York is, and a lot of its people - while just simply really appreciating the organizations' history, and in general being raised to enjoy the team. Then again, the people who raised me to love the Yankees also were fans during an era when humans like Mickey Mantle played for the team, so, yeah.
Shitty stuff by the fans, but this is normal behavior for North easterners. It could always be worse, Philadelphia.
