Reds have made a lot of moves this offseason. I mostly like them but I have critiques. However, the offense needed to get better and there's zero doubt the Reds have done that this offseason. Vast improvement and I think the starting rotation is the best in the division after adding Wade Miley. Very respectable 5th guy.

I think Senzel will move to SS. Or we'll juggle Senzel, Aquino, and Winker between the minors and majors.

I have both of them (Senzel & Aquino) on my fantasy team and I was gonna use one of them, along with other assets, to buy Muncy or K. Marte (I'm in dire need of a 2b).

Castellanos signing hurts both of their projections, unless Senzel gets traded.

There are only two years left on his contract. Even though we haven't won anything during the time period so far, I have no problem with that contract. So far six of those years have been really good. 2014 sucked because he missed 2/3 of the season and this past year was his first "meh" year and he still hit .261 which isn't bad by any means. Joey Votto is awesome.

Yeah for absurd large/long contracts his has actually been fairly reasonable compared to most. It still feels absurd to me in general how baseball contracts work. They play in the minors for awhile and then play through a baseline prearbitration contract, then an extension, then they finally get a big 8 year contract when they're like 30+ years old. Shit is silly.

It'll be pretty interesting to see the levels of retaliation (if any) that happen, especially at road games. On the flip side I'm sure there is a percentage of players that think Fiers is a rat. They are definitely going to hear it from fans though.

The 1st pitcher that head hunts an Astros batter or the 1st opposing team that does an intentional take out baseslide will be ejected and suspended.

I do get that the players are gonna want to get a bit a retribution for what the Astros did, it can't be the fucking wild west out there.

You're probably right, wonder if Manfred is going to issue a warning before the season saying any retaliation is an immediate fine/suspension.

Wishful thinking. Some teams will be saltier than others but the Astros are gonna be in for it all season long.

I mean maybe if someone with a history is dumb enough to throw straight at the head on the very first pitch of the game with a trigger-happy ump we'd see an immediate ejection.
