ugg JDS doesn't deserve the shot, but the god damn division is so paper thin. At this point we are gonna have contenders coming off 1 win at best.

Guess Stipe got his renegotiation? He was pretty upset about that Overeem payout. He was never and is not Overeem, two different levels of draw. Guy should shut the fuck up, but I like him.

Stipe via KO. JDS has to have some CTE after the Cain beatings. Its young Stipe's time, and I think its going to be his time for a long time.

he's a year older than jds

Except the year you were born has nothing to do with his ring age.

He was seen atrophied/dying after the ref failed him in the Cain massacre. People were concerned for his well-being, demanding retirement for good reason.

It was 8 months later or so when they showed JDS, and man, it was not good. You could see he was not right. He had strange muscular atrophy and his face and skull was just downright odd...

It was the first time anyone had seen such drastic physical change in a fighter, and I am not talking about BJ Penn eating some tacos.

When Brock said he was young he delivered on it. There's just plain differences in ring age and genetic aging that don't jive with the year you were born at the end of the day.

Vitor looked absolutely abhorrent and sickening his last two fights. I mean absolutely uncanny valley-inducing face/body. Good luck weighing his birth year out against another fighter. You have to weigh the ring age on these guys first and foremost.

I don't make the rules of life, take it up with the next man. Birth year means fuckall in this world, and I prove it every year myself, I don't know about you guys.

What is it with women getting TKOd with knees to the body? I mean I've seen men lose because of a knee to the body, but it's because the knee opens them up for a finish. That's like the third time I've seen a woman lose to what essentially was a walk-off knee (i.e. ref was already running in to stop the fight before any follow-up strikes). And this is with there being a tiny fraction as many women's fights as men's fights.

Refs probably just stop women's fights earlier. A liver shot is the end of the fight but they allow dudes to take unnecessary shots to the head for some reason.

Well, except in the case of Scott Smith. Sorry for the shitty video, it was the first one I could find

Well the guy in the white trunks in that video waited way too long to go in for the finish. Maybe he didn't want to beat on a guy when he figured the fight was over, maybe he wasn't sure what happened, but by the time he goes in for the finish you can see the other guy already recovered and setting up the big punch.

I think Sell didn't realize how bad he hurt him, and once he did he went in for the punch. And Smith definitely had not recovered, he just happened to load up a punch and throw it as Sell got to him. But if you watch till the end he collapses in pain after

UFC just won't be the same without Tim Kennedy's awkward post-fight interviews.

Dude displayed a ton of heart in those post-fights, so much effort. Oh well one more Reebok sponsor basher down, 0 to go?

I think he is the last and final big profile name since Brendan Schaub to hang it up over low pay for big damage and cuckholded 10k sponsorships. Viva la resistance.

What is it with women getting TKOd with knees to the body?

Shit quality fighters who leave worse openings and haven't dealt with or conditioned themselves for those kind of shots through as much training.

As the quality of the women's ranks continues to climb you'll see it less. Why in just 30-40 years it will probably be almost as rare as it was for men 20 years ago!
