Volk and Holloway are just on different levels from the rest of the division.

Pretty meh night on the main card, aside from the ME. Diaz fight was great, until he quit. From the very getgo though, it looked like he had about 5 beers prefight and didn't want to be there.

Volkanowski getting out of those two subs against T City was impressive as fuck. He managed to shrimp out of the guillotine and then just reversed the choke with a single leg. He spent almost 30 seconds synched up but didnt tap and escaped.

They could just as easily have cut robbie from the promotion. Yoel Romero was cut.

He should be grateful they kept him at age 39 on a major losing streak.

Yoel was cut for age + losses. And the fact is, Robbie was in that territory.

UFC could have offered him peanuts, and rightfully so-- they have all the leverage in this instance. See Yoel Romero for example.

You don't want to imply Yoel isn't a gladiator-- but I get your point overall.

Yoel was rushed out the door. He was a good performer. All his losses before being cut are to monsters

How are you putting that on Yoel? His opponent there has done similar things in other fights and shown a willingness to not engage.

His grappling coach, Craig Jones, has some of the best defense in the world and is one of the frontrunners of modern technique. Plus, Volk is tough as fuck.

Adesanya has done plenty of his own Yoel moments. His stocks have taken hits in more than one fight because of him staying on the outside.

Don't cover for him just because he's a "big name".
