So I downloaded the trial of this one, then realized 1 and 2 were on sale.

Did some searching on here and see some folks liked Stories 2 - that also happens to be on sale. Are these all anthologies for the most part? Trial runs and looks great on 4k native DLAA. Turn based obviously but was curious what folks experiences were with the other two. I might grab 2 and then wait for a sale on 3. I was recently looking at the Wilds thread realizing how much that was a dud after World and thought maybe this could be good - and the trial for 3 is pretty cool so far.

Kind of curious how deep the crafting and combat can get - and if the overall stories are good. I dig the atmosphere.

Same, great series - looks like a kids game but I enjoyed two better than MH Wilds tbh. 3 looks even better

MHS2 is still one of the best games I played on my Switch. I was surprised that I enjoyed the spin-off way more than the main MH series.

Guess I'll have to swap over to XSX for this one though. Capcom made the jump to Switch 2 only, and PC is infected with Denuvo. Sucks, it was actually a really good game for handheld mode on the go, but it's going to take a lot more than this to consider a Switch 2.

I've had MHS2 for a while now but haven't gotten around to it, which apparently was a good thing as I have a Switch 2 and it looks like MHS2 gets a big boost from it.

The trial is epic. I can’t put it down. Great combat combos and they give access to some crafting. Pretty good so far.

Seems like we’ve got a goty on our hands, can’t wait. Demo was a great step up from MHS 2 visually and thematically.

Stay away from this for now until they fix all the crashing bugs. Reports are everything is crashing.

What went from a retail purchase now also probably just went to a sale. I am not buying broken shit. I am waiting to see reports on Crimson Desert performance too.

There's a bunch of steam reviews about crashes but there's not that many overall, so not sure how widespread it is.

The main "fix" I've seen is to disable Steam Record feature(not sure why anyone would use it but whatever), it's likely some Denuvo shit as usual with Capcom games. Potentially Shadowplay similar feature might also cause issues I'd guess? There might also be some garbage Nvidia driver mixed in, a lot of people reporting crashes don't mention having tried ANYTHING to fix it though so hard to say for sure, but overall I'm not seeing that many people complain, bunch of negative reviews on Steam(about half of which are people complaining about the lack of widescreen support which Capcom is pretty notorious for not doing in any of their games so you need REFramework to fix it) but since the game is just released there aren't too many positive reviews to drown them so it looks worse than it is? On the flipside if you're getting crashes that also means you're kinda fucked since not that many people are looking for solutions and it's hard to say if Capcom will be able to figure it out quickly.

I'm thinking I'll pick it up later anyway though, 70$ is rough for pretty much any game so I need to really want to play something to buy it at release. Same from Crimson Desert, will probably just buy them in the Halloween sale or something for 40-45 bucks.

I bought it. Still in the area where the demo is, but smooth as butter and cut scenes work (apparently that's where most crashes come?) without any problems.

I get a warning that my nvidia drivers aren't up to date, but figured if they worked for the demo, they will work for this (and maybe they cause problems too?)

Awesome game and no crashes. Trial save moved over. Definitely do the side stories for unlocks of awesome stuff. Good story tidbits too.

This is going to be addicting and dangerous so close to crimson desert. Springbok Springbok we have tough choices on playing both these games Thursday.
