Started completely over and doing a full LBG playthrough. Definitely improved performance but some odd textures still here and there. Feels good to play, going to take my time - didn't realize I hadn't even turned this on for almost a year and quit at like 105 HR.

I almost did the same but just put on best armor and a low rank weapon and go fight some 4-6 stars in the open world. All came back quickly.

Up through normal Rey Day - not sure if it's the optimization, the new graphics card, LBG or what but I'm having a much more enjoyable time now than I remember ever having at launch. It's super easy w/ LBG but the fights and spectacle are still awesome.

I would say this is in a good spot now, I am no longer convinced a world 2 would have been a better game. The walk and talk bullshit aside it is becoming a solid MH game and look forward to playing it most days. Expansion is going to be insane if they keep on this pace. I wonder what mechanic they going to add, clutch claw was cool but making it 100% mandatory for efficient killing was a bad choice.

Which apparently is top tier right now. May try it out but needing all three buffs to do the cool stuff always turned me away.

So this thing is actually worth it now? It's on sale on PC and I would double dip - or, just skip it and wait for Monster Hunter Stories 3.

It's in a good state. IMO the game is still too easy and it never had the sense of immersion that Worlds did. But it's the second best IMO at this point.

I did put a fair bit of hours when it came out and till a point things just died really really quick and the charm if any wore off. didnt like the autopilot running around for sure, so am not really sure how much better at current point
