I generally only go for card draw with decks I was probably going to win with anyway. I think the deployment phase removed most of the draw value because it adds a huge ember and space sink.

trying Organized chaos atm.. not having much luck.

I literally just finished that one in a gargantuan blowout. I agree it's super annoying that the starter cards are effectively unusable ( I got *some* use out of playing orechi top floor by himself so I could guarantee the mix hitting him with reanimates to finish the first boss ).

Key to my run was greed dragon from the first banner and smidged it, and then the run turned into a roflstomp when the random event was the encrypted one and I put fecundity on it.

An interaction I didn't know previously - fecundity copies the unit *after* the deployment effects trigger - so you play your basic greed dragon, it gets +80/+80 from the eggs and then puts a 100/100 copy into your hand, and when you play *that* it puts a 180/180 copy in your hand etc.

The increased cost from fecundity also doesn't matter at all when you are playing with the random cost artifact, because instead of being 10 cost it still comes out at 0-3 and still increases by one at a time, so you can fill the entire train with them.

I more or less didn't play anything else after that point, I picked up a hothead and a bloodthirsty blade, but I really would have been better off just playing the greed dragon more.

The Joker artifact that gives you a calcified ember is broken if you get it early. The ember it gives you after its reserved is permanent in your hand. I removed its consume and put a spell chain on it, then copied it every chance I could. Had 3 or 4 at the end of the run on an incant build with Stygian which gave me basically infinite draw and energy.
