Re: spell lists and whats available on the wiki

I'm pretty sure they're still fleshing out the spells and abilities for classes. On NickHoTS' stream the other night he had a note pulled up with spells for elementalist: summon dagger, summon bandage, summon logs, that type of thing. My impression is that they've got the classes in a working state right now and will continue to add abilities, adjust numbers, and solidify class identities.

Oh I have memories of summoning daggers and bandages as a noob at every log in "in case I needed them".

Druid does have an AoE lul which is super handy.
Yeah, that lull was great for splitting camps, but it did get me killed a few times when trying to lull +4 or higher over level (also, bosses seem immune or maybe the gobo boss was high resists). I used the shit out of it until I found my Grip of Shadows spell on my SK, which trivializes splitting/pulling camps (seems a bit of a placeholder (early iteration) of a good spell, so don't worry, it will be changed/balanced).

Also, small correction to previous post: I mixed up alts. Got cleric to ~16 in undead dungeons and druid to 20 in gobo side Tel Ekir.

I seem to recall them not really wanting druids to be able to ae nuke, but it was still wish washy.

They are actively working on making root rotting to be actually feasible. So that should help Druid and shammy some.

Root rotting was always the least interesting soloing method for me. Quadding, fear kiting, swarming, charming were all so satisfying and fun.

Considering the direction they've gone with Sense Magic and conning mobs/players to see buffs, I doubt they'd go that route for beneficial buffs. Maybe for the debuffs though.
i think they said they mean to make better buff/debuff icons for targets but they don't want it to be a clutter fest.

So starting stats are a thing now. Not sure if they'll go live as implemented, but cap is at 50.

Not sure i get the gobby stats thematically. But I've been waiting for the stats to go in for awhile. So yay. That was one of the things they wanted in for beta.

did you catch if human was just strait middle stats? like strait 20's or whatever?
Seemed like it, but I didn't pay attention to the humans. Humans being lame and all. Also looks like picking class adds +5 to 2 or 3 stats from the race selected.

yea i'm eternally salty that they're the only inquisitor right now.
Yeah shame Dwarf Inq didn't win their quest, but they wouldn't be avail immediately even if they had. Best bet is wait for DE's to come and play something else until then...

As it stands right now - until they do a pass on traits, humans are just suboptimal to play with starting stats where they are as shown. Even lowering the Charisma to like 5 or 10 wouldnt counter the power of infra/night vision and similar. So until they do a pass on Humans and they have like an easier time with faction, or a 5% exp bonus or something... I'd rather have the 50 points of stam as a fighter with infravision all day long (for example.)

All that is necessary is giving humans moustaches and eye patches.

Yea unless it's something like INC where you're locked into human- unless you really are RPing human seems like not a good choice in general. But on the other hand, human fighter is probably gonna be a pretty high pick by default. I wouldn't be surprised if they do make something like +rep for the human racial trait though.
