apparently the early access/soft launch isn’t coming January or February. I’m going to guess May of next year.

Yeah. Depends on when they get beta up. I’m guessing late Jan for that. So figure April for ea at the earliest.apparently the early access/soft launch isn’t coming January or February. I’m going to guess May of next year.
I dont think anyone reported "your" post. If I had the guess, the bit calling people "illogical women" was probably the coup de grace for some random. It's like riding in New York Subway as a white person, hoping the "guy" in the corner will stay asleep in his makeshift shack long enough for you to get where you're going.Steam takes a 30% cut of sales. It would be prudent for them to wait for steam until they stabilize as it cuts all future margin. And I think he reported my post FYI.
Not directly related to you, just the conversation: If I heard alovingrobot correctly on that video - Theyre spending something like 3k a month, baseline, and collectively, to support the Alpha player base and continue development. That's not a lot in the "grand scheme" of making a game, sure. But I seriously doubt that every single one of those devs are contributing to the project. So Im sure someone like himself, and Nick, are footing some major part of that bill, hosting, and software licensing fees. I think thats pretty admirable, myself. Hoping that it ends up being worth it for them, and pays them back ten fold.Yeah. Depends on when they get beta up. I’m guessing late Jan for that. So figure April for ea at the earliest.
Shawn always seem to have a strong eye for zone design. The only zone he's ever explicitly claimed credit for is Chardok B, but given the period in which he served as Lead Designer, it's highly probable he also influenced The Bloodfields, Wall of Slaughter, and Muramite Proving Grounds - all three of which still stand among EQ's best.

It's kindergarten economics, basically. It's the same logic your 4-year-old niece uses when you offer her a $5 bill for her three $1 bills and she refuses because "three is more than one."This pathetic excuse only works on retards and has been thoroughly debunked by literally the entire industry.
it's such a dipshit argument I can't believe this johnny come lately is going to show up after 200+ pages and think he's the first retard to use that excuse like it hasn't been shit all over so many times so fucking hard that the damn developer of the game had to come out and release a video to tell his retarded followers to stop saying "oh but steam takes 30%"It's kindergarten economics, basically. Steam isn't just a storefront. It's literally free discovery, free marketing, and the difference between people actually learning your game exists versus yelling into a deserted IRC channel with the same seven dudes who think spell book medding was peak game design.
At this rate, the only mystery left is whether the game collapses before or after someone proudly posts a spreadsheet proving that 200 subs at 100% margin is "basically WoW numbers."
Tarkov, path of exile are two examples of games that both limited steam until they had core purchases stable You don't understand margins, and costing. a player is not free, it has variable costs.it's such a dipshit argument I can't believe this johnny come lately is going to show up after 200+ pages and think he's the first retard to use that excuse like it hasn't been shit all over so many times so fucking hard that the damn developer of the game had to come out and release a video to tell his retarded followers to stop saying "oh but steam takes 30%"
Literally you can give up 30% of your revenue to reach 100% of the PC gaming market, or you can give up 22% of your revenue to reach maybe 30% of the players on GOG, or you can stand in a back alley filled with cat piss and hand out paper fliers for your game at your local farmer's market, doesn't fucking matter you will still reach exactly the same amount of people, zero.
Steam is a monopoly, it's fucking Netflix before everyone decided to start their own streaming service except in this world there is only fucking netflix, cable ceased to exist 10 years earlier the same time as blockbusters died, and everything ever made is only available on Netflix. You have to be the dumbest motherfucker alive to think that extra 8% to reach every single potential customer on earth is a bridge too far. Fucking jungle people who've just been contacted, never seen an airplane or automobile before, the moment they are introduced to electricity and the internet the first fucking thing they do is download steam. There is not a single PC gamer on earth who doesn't use it.

that they arent celestial fist fungi gods that can solo low lvl (dark blue) content easilyWhat are monks griping about?

you all seriously think you know better than them or that they hate money? Wild takes, and with such fervor. Weird
