The context that you're leaving out with Tarkov and PoE that is a lot different than MnM though is:

1. They already had massive hype cycles, influencer backing, and investor runway.
2. Their monetization models were built around recurring revenue and whales, not "trust us, subs will happen".

Nobody thinks the devs "hate money." The concern is that a studio betting the farm on not being discoverable is like opening a pizza shop with no sign, no online listing, and no advertising, then smugly announcing you're keeping 100% of the profits from the three customers who accidentally wandered in.

listen, you are probably a highly valued door dash user so ask yourself why not all of your favorite restaurants are on doordash. Why do some have their own site? Texas Roadhouse is probably your favorite spot, not on doordash. Think real hard about why they would not be on doordash.

Some of you think 1 user is free too. But that’s not the case. Each player requires server cost and customer service costs. Probably a lot more. So lower margin customers are not worth it until you hit a certain scale or have gotten all the players that would play without steam.

Kind of curious if putting "Letsgochamp" on the most deadly NPC list, along with PVP - if that was a jab at him by the Devs, lol.

The armors look fantastic. Ill watch Zbrush and Goblin go at 'em. But you rarely get to see it all put together after its colored, etc. (on their stream.) Though, the longer I've been in Alpha - the more Ive seen absolutely gorgeous armors coming out by higher level players.

Was watching Goblin come up with this one. Mulling over the face for an hour. I thought he had it done, then I come back in a later stream and see him working on the waist - and then I notice he had changed the face again. lol Looking forward to seeing it come out of concept, though. Deep Elves are sorely, SORELY, needed. High Elves too, for that matter. I see the concept art for Trolls - and.. I'm just going to have to wait and see where that goes. The Deep Gnomes freak me out a little bit, so they can come last for all I care.



Also, I had totally forgotten that I had saw these Giants on stream and my immediate thought was that Dwarves were gettin' Swole.

As dark as it is.. this looks fantastic upon closer inspection. I cant wait to experience this zone. But GOD do I feel bad for anyone that doesnt have infravision or better going in there. I didnt realize how bad it was without a light source until the other day. SOMEONE HERE THAT SHALL REMAIN NAMELESS - kept falling off the cliff on the way up to Tel'Ekir. I'm like.. this guy is fucking with me. Has to be. Then I made an enchanter alt to mess around with and went into Wyrmsbane.. and low and behold, HUMANS CANT SEE SHIT! lol



Cureberries are an interesting new spell. Clickable item that cures poison and disease. The poison, especially from what Ive encountered in Tel'Ekir .. The Poison itself ticks extremely fast. Add in a Mez or a Fear on the healer, the tank gets poisoned and diseased, and its game over. That is, unless someone can dispel the Healer while theyre jetting around at mach V bobbing in and out of line of sight.

The additions to Night Harbor are also something to look forward to. In Open Test, I really didnt mess around much in the city. Over on the West side, you have all those empty houses for sale, etc. Just comes off as empty with nothing implemented (even though on live, they'll spring to life with owners). Now that Ive learned just.. how intricate Night Harbor is already.. and theyre STILL adding stuff? Oof.

Someone in the guild, Dryads, is turning the entire town into Wolves. So the Well's yard, the Bar, the Court yard, the Bank yard, all have tons of Wolves.

Swear to god night harbor has more content than all of pantheon combined. I did most of my lvl 1-50 there lol. If you’re willing to fuck up factions you can probably hit 60. Knowing these guys I’d wager they itemized some shit that no one ever kills like bankers etc so theres probably still drops hiding here and there; I know the claw and red mantle faction mobs in town are itemized at the minimum

I can’t imagine they can keep this up but so far been super surprised by the little touches of art on items in this game. Like recently got an int belt off some random named nothing special type mob, but the belt has a completely unique look with some pope style incense rod on one side and a little red book hanging off the other, super cool and a surprising amount of effort for a random drop
