Man these bard changes are hot garbage with charm, I was gravy training the shit outta them when they were bugged after the patch but holy shit, having a charm last 6-10 seconds when not being beat on is hot shit, add in the "CHANCE" to break on hit bullshit and the new mana requirement as well as trying to stat out a bard in a direction that makes sense outside of CHA...

Guess Box Bards are gunna make a hot comeback!

They are struggling how to approach the whining masses. Most sane adults just ignore them since people whinning, "This isn't fair!" are usually retards. Makes you wonder if their end goal is to Wow-afy the game to get that skrilla after all.

Ya know, the real art and goal of trolling is to get people to pay attention to you and actually get angry enough to discuss what you're saying.

Not get ignored or called a cocksucker.

Btw you're a cocksucker.
They got trolled last week and ended up with new subreddit rules, dev deleting a vod, people freaking out that Alexensual was streaming the game and getting cozy with devs, it was wild.

I've been maining a Shaman over the last few days, and I'm not sure how I feel about the class yet. I'm only level 12, and so far they are kind of boring. EQ Shaman's don't really come into power till level 34, so I'm not trying to pass judgement yet at such an early level. My one main complaint though is they have a group HOT that is on a 10 minute cooldown which imho is way too long. If it's supposed to be a oh shit button a HOT isn't a oh shit spell. It does scale as you level though. It doesn't feel impactful now, and I doubt it'll feel impactful at later levels. The cooldown should be reduced to at least 5 minutes at the very least.

I'm at a space that I'm just constantly looking at the game design decision at this point wondering "Why?"

So many classes feel totally unfinished from almost a conceptual standpoint, sure they have the vestiges of "Uniqueness" but that "Uniqueness" just was copy and pasted from other games and ultimately they feel hollow OR, they are neutering the "Uniqueness" for the sake of this "lofty" goal of "TTK".

Elementalist feels like a back burner college project, has some good ideas but nothing finished or ironed out. Copy paste spells from wizard a tier late, blast system thats 1/4th finished, pets that eventually get out-scaled by mobs in a hard way where you are killing light blues and dumping 1/4th your mana pool just to keep your pet alive and not even drop a nuke. The ultimate joke is that our most efficient nuke for a LONG time is our heal (Cant wait for nick to nerf this after reading):

Shaman feels like they wanted the EQ shaman but then were like "Woah no, this is OP as fuck!" and nerfed the foundations of what made the class interesting in EQ so now you are stuck with a class that shares spells with like 2-8 other classes and heals with hots that are shit tier efficiency compared to...fucking clerics?

Bard feels like it's going to be relegated to being a buff box as you afk them in a corner singing 4 songs via AHK / Keyboard macros. Their damage BLOWS, so soloing is done after this charm nerf, taking 8 minutes+ to dot down a mob at 48 feels like absolute dog shit. The class feels like it's going to be an aura class that sits in camp and plays aura songs for max uptime.

It feels like a ton of the classes that felt interesting and engaging are slowly having their interesting and engaging aspects removed via ball-peen hammer.

Finally, the gameplay loop feels at odds with their mantra of "Sandwich" game, sure your APMs are super low, you basically do a couple actions at most per fight but then your basically mandatory in those actions. An encounter is so boring that I legit start falling asleep in camps. On the opposite side of the spectrum, my group the other day was running around orc island with 2 enchanters, a bard, a cleric and a SK and it was the most fun I ever had in the game. The action was paced nicely, the kills were flowing, I wasn't even concerned about XP. That group is a 1 in 1000 group, most groups you are stuck in a corner in a hallway staring at 3-8 spawns as you break in and fall asleep.

I dunno, I feel like I need to step back from the game and wait til they iron out things a bit more because as is, this is a sleep simulator. Or maybe this just isn't for me anymore, which is wild to say because I dropped a FUCKING YEAR of /played on aradune.

How is a heal the most mana efficient nuke?

(clarifying this a little)

Add to this that all the elements and tools that make doing big pulls and surviving OR surviving an encounter that is challenging POSSIBLE are slowly being phased out or reduced in effectiveness. They don't want big pulls, they don't want the option of fast progression, they want to slow game-play down even more.

This push to increase TTK is being approached from a TON of directions and it's strange, nerfs everywhere, reduction in APMs and then finally this patch we get an increase in things like mob health and AC.

All the reductions in ability to expand as a player just make the game more boring every day, I wanna be able to look out and go "FUCK ME archers are OP, I'm gunna roll one soon" or "God damn, SK's can solo bosses if they are kitted out and max statted? I wanna try that eventually" but their quest for TTK is evening out everyone to a baseline of suck and knowing that everyone suck equally isn't a fun experience.

I don't want clerics to suck at soloing, I wanna roll by and see a cleric soloing undead.

I remember playing EQ and seeing a bard kite all of maidens eye thinking "What the fuck" I made a bard that day.

How is a heal the most mana efficient nuke?

It was tongue in cheek, you heal your pet as your pet does damage.

in the weeds, it's most efficient because it's an action that doesn't get resisted and hits for max effect.

The effect per mana is listed in the image under the elementalist rant. Basically it only gets out-performed at the level 54 nuke and that doesn't account for any resists.

This is all solo, you don't heal your pet much grouping..
