Some of the directions are questionable but man this needed to happen.

Needed to happen several years ago when they were ironing out classes past "Tank and healer".

Laughing at the bard changes though, the bard "has a clear and distinct role"...wat?

Bard has always felt like a directionless mess with "Okay I'll do it" levels of "DIRECTION". So I dunno where they are pulling this "clear and distinct" role statement from.

On changes and bugs:

Bard "Snare / slow".
- It's AE so I can't do it in tight quarters.
- Doesn't function at all if a mob is immune to snare (all bosses / named)

Melody isn't going to be in and likely won't be in for a while if ever. I'm sorry, "aLoving" and gm_trent, when you read this..I'm going to keyboard macro my bard. That shit is happening and I bet I'm not gunna be alone. Tie that shit to the cantrip system so eventually I can have 3-4 songs passively playing for my group and I can do cool things, FUN things, like killing mobs.
- Sidebar Make people fucking choose between saving a spell via the cantrip system and not having to rebuff a spell for their group. Make the system apply whatever BUFF spell is placed on cantrips as an aura buff to the group that ticks up to 20m and then re-pulses every 6s like a fire. (use common sense, not ALL buffs obviously)

I wanna be able to solo green mobs 20 levels below me without fucking dying or needing 100 miles of run space as I kite in circles. If I have to run in circles for 10 minutes as my 3 dots (doing a MASSIVE 78 damage every 6 seconds or 13 DPS) + Travelers ticks down mobs... I'm gunna macro that.

I've read enough fantasy books that I could of designed and named what they turned the Shadow Knight into. It's called a "Dragon Hunter"

It’s honestly pathetic watching this microscopic community celebrate 'wins' while they struggle to even fill a single server. You’re all sitting in a circle-jerking echo chamber, ragging on Pantheon like you aren't playing some bargain-bin, EQ on Welfare tech demo.

The player base is just 20 socially stunted losers the same crusty rigs they’ve used since 1999. This isn't just a 'niche' game—it’s a digital retirement home for people who peaked in high school and are terrified of a modern UI. The MMO market doesn't need this trash, and the genre is dying specifically because it’s being gatekept by 'edge lords' who are too dense to realize they’re the ones being laughed at.

This is what put me off the community the most. The idea that the classes were perfect, various people pushing the idea they were 1:1 to EQ, Archer's having strong class identity and everything being fine, etc

then comes this complete overhaul and re-imagining with impending sweeping changes

"Perfect this game is perfect". Vomit fuel. It's perfect before, and it's perfect after.

Everyone was like “it’s perfect!” Then a big change and they are like “perfect was changed to perfect!” And they are stupid drones who just slob gooble

AND

Those that are complaining about the changes are stupid because they should see now how perfect things are and that it was not /this/ perfect, but not is /this/ perfect now….but not then but was then…. And they are all stupid drones who are slob gobblers as well.

AND

The game is not even out yet, sheesh!!! How can you judge!

My head cannon is Nick threw a fit because he was a classic hybrid enjoyer like myself and he got voted off the island. Brother wants that royalty check though so I doubt we get the details for years.

That said classes definitely needed work, but personally I was looking for more iteration on what was there than a complete gutting
