Got rid of my other Harley and upgraded last year. Looking at grabbling a new Indian Scout or a sport bike next for a more "around town" riding or for a more fun riding experience. I commute 70+ miles a day for work (and the occasional across-state(s) trip), so wanted something comfortable and that had storage for my laptop bag + other crap. The new tech sold me on the new redesign. Looked at a CVO model but Harley rips you off enough as-is so couldn't justify getting even more fucked.

Several thousand miles later and loving it. Just recently did a cam upgrade which helped make it a bit more enjoyable since these are all slow as molasses from factory (it is just less-slow now). I test rode Indian baggers aswell as others such as Goldwings and BMW K series, but sadly nothing feels like these even if the others have more power or a smoother powerplant. Just hard to describe.

I like the newer fairings and blacked out, I just look at the cost of any big bagger compared to a big concours or other big adventure tourers etc etc and say fuck no to the price. Hell even my supercharged h2 which is high dev cost for low volume sales and a few years ago was only very low 20's. Easily hit 25-30k on some of those Harleys. Silly.

I'm in the market for something new. Looking pretty hard at the new hayabusa with a tune from Chris Moore. My gen 1 was insane with just a power commander. I can't imagine how much more fun the new one would be with actual electronic rider aids, not just a big throttle and sketchy brakes.

Gen 3 Hayabusa don't have the same power as the Gen 1's. I mean it's not leaps and bounds better than the other top of the line sport bikes like gen 1's where. You can also turn rider aids off if you want that old school feeling. Most of mine are set to really low or off. I've got a stage 2 brentune on my s1000rr and it's a night and day difference from stock.

I know, it's not the power. I like the more relaxed stance of the hayabusa. I'm just a weekend cruiser not a track fanatic. Chris Moore has got a little bit more pep out of them. If I wanted a monster I'd get the H2. But I don't want 230hp and a sore back after an hour.

Prices may be more than you want unless trusting used, but think about looking into an H2. Smaller but similiar speeds, different torque curve so will feel different and imo more urgently insane. Miss mine, but conditions where I moved were a death trap.

Edit;: Didnt see further reply, I'm not sure how different seating on the regular H2 vs the SE "touring" one. Seats are a bit poor over time, but the seating position imo isn't bad at all.
Otherwise I'm partial to sticking to the zx14 though it's a shame it will stay outdated.

Maybe branch out and try other style but still bananas bikes. Like a Rocket 3 or if they whern't going out of business a 1390 super duke etc. Esp if you weekend highway vs full track or anything.

I love everything about Hayabusa. Dream motorcycle. Once I get some riding experience it'll be my next bike. That's the goal.

Just got this helmet and it's a fucking game changer. The HUD in it is awesome, gives you directions, speakers built-in, LED display and warnings. Even warns you about speed traps and accidents. 1080p camera built right into the helmet, which is what I was needing because in the state of Louisiana it's illegal to mount anything to a helmet for some fucking reason.

Anyway, this "smart" helmet is unreal. It's ECE 22.5 rated which is better than American DOT and it's also DOT certified as well. They're expensive but they make my ride 1000% more enjoyable.

Pros: Very Comfortable, snug fit, D-ring with emergency tag
Chin, forehead and top of the head vents
Interchangeable visors, built-in speaker system and HUD
built-in 1080p camera
Navigation, media access and free ride available in app.

Cons: $1400
Due to being a Smart Helmet it needs charged along with it's controller.

If you're interested in this helmet... I got it for under $700.

Go to Bellissimoto (they have the helmet for $749), create an account. Use the code IMKAY. 10% discount.

I got mine for $679.

Edit** Just realized I didn't put the name of the helmet in the post.

It's the Forcite MKS1

Forgot about this thread. I actually went a little smaller. I kept my '12 1400GTR but it's starting to show its age. Not sure I feel like dumping a bunch of money into it. Shocks, brakes, clutch slipping at high rpm.

My new black beauty. Only paid $8500 for this new. Less than 10 OTD. Added saddle bags a top case and skid plate/ crash bars so far.

Still loving the 250f, been messing with the built in turner mapping and it can literally make it feel like a completely different bike. The E-bike I have been building finally saw a big track day and I blew up the rear tire, old parts are old. But now that I know it rips gonna put proper parts on it.
