Good Omens (Gaimen/Pratchett). Not sure it would honestly make a good movie, but damn I like that book a lot.

21 posts, not a single porn movie project? Color me surprised!

That being said... I think we could use some good movie set in Babylon and packed with action, political intrigues and diplomacy.

I wrote something about a year back on FOH about how i would like to see a 40k movie, still sad i didn't save it.

Old man Logan......only downside is, the perfect guy to play the lead is clint eastwood 20 years ago, and jeff bridges as blind hawkeye.

And i am still hoping they do a 2 or 3 part spiderman, Kraven's Last Hunt....

Stephen King: The Eyes of the Dragon.

it has never even been rumored to be made a film and i dont know why. with the popularity of GoT and LOTR this movie should be a fucking hot pick.
its about a prince who is framed by an evil wizard named Flagg (yesthatFlagg) and is locked up in a tower for the rest of his life for a murder he didnt commit. he must formulate his escape or the kingdom will perish.
Yeah, Eyes would make a killer movie I think. I think film might actually enhance the story, I don't think King did a good enough job illustrating Peter's struggles.

Charlize Theron, duh!
I thought that.. then I went to Scarlett Johanssen, then to the chick from Girl Next Door.. but she's have to have a muscular build and those 3 are great to paint a map of Hawaii on, but no braun. I'd want my Samus as a serious ass kicker. Not an obvious stunt-harness user.

A few fairly obvious ones I think.

Booster Gold movie.
The Rogues movie. Almost shocked there isn't a supervillian movie yet.

Neverending story. I find it funny the movie that was all about the story never ending as long as its retold over and over. has not gotten a remake with hollyhood being pretty close to creatively bankrupt. (legal reasons is why it hasn't, they did try apparently)

I'd like to see some near future sci fi that ISN"T cave man Sci fi. "Me am play gods, me am go too far!"
where are the dreams of the future?

Canticle for Leibowitz. Live action but with enough film effect/CGI to make it look half animated.

It would be arty, utterly confusing if you hadn't read the book, and relentlessly depressing.

The Age of Apocalypse or the Days of Future Past X-Men storylines, but more like Watchmen than what Fox has been shitting out. The focus should really be on the villains and the fucked up situation more than the particular heroes. There are entirely too many superhero movies releasing these days, but they're often quite bland. I think Watchmen and The Dark Knight are the standouts of this wave of superhero films.

I'm at the point where I think an HBO/AMC/Showcase television miniseries would do a better job at handling my favorite books and games. Two hour movies are just not enough time for some of the great stories out there, and HBO has set the bar extremely high.

With that said, I'd like to see a prequel to Game of Thrones, detailing Robert's rebellion. Also the Dunk and Egg books would be amazing to see.

I wouldn't object if a real writer re-did the first three Star Wars movies with a totally different story/history.

City Watch is being adapted to a TV series by the BBC. Dunno format etc or if it's still happening but I think as of a couple months ago it was.

The prequel series under this title, or the Vlad Taltos books? If the former BOOOOO! If the latter fuck yes. Assassin crimelord witch guy in an elf city? Badass.
Taltos of course and much props to the BBC. I would especially like the episode where he is comparing everything to the stages of a fine meal. Although the one where this scene happens is like Dumas if he had wrote a fantasy book with an assassin crime lord main character.

From The Phoenix Guards, when Khaavren and his five companions face down an entire army of Easterners.

You: "There are ten thousand of you, and six of us."

Them: "What of it, sir?"

You: "How? You cannot be here to invade, therefore..."

Them: "But, my lord, why can we not?"

You: "Well, because as you have done us the honor to observe, there are six of us."

Them: "Well, and?"

You: "Therefore, you perceive, you are outnumbered."

And same scene but further along.

Your Party "But," said Pel, "should we not ask them to move, first? It would be polite."
Your Party "I think we should charge them," said Tazendra, who we must add, had not had a fight in some time.
