It looks like a completely different card game.

I do not mind when the theme is the same. The Hobbit is at least a fantasy based setting with similar features. Star Trek is indeed an alternate Universe that just makes the game look way off.

I am not a fan of the alternate Universes that are not in line with Fantasy settings.

Jesus fucking Christ. Go look at the other 2027 set announcements and then watch this garbage. If they would have just presented it as a plane, most people would have probably been fine with Africa MTG set. But fucking listening to the very American fucksticks talking about 'their' culture is so rich. Thier culture is Wakanda, not real Africa.

Snagged 3 Hobbit Collector boxes at $675 each pre-order, finally arrived today.

Opened one, going to keep the other 2 sealed for now. Did OK ok the one I opened.

The One ring and Smaug book cover are both surge foils, Dwarven Warriors is foil.

Did Ok OK? The surge one ring is the 2nd Most expensive card you can get in the collector's box.

Gee I am sorry you did not get the Gold Smaug. What a shame that box sucks for that.

Open the other two and see if you got a "Real" box with the gold foil Smaug.
