That would be the retard demographic. People who think beyond the current moment make plans to avoid driving under the influence. In the current age of Uber and home booze delivery, it has never been easier to avoid that sort of disaster, even if you lack the self discipline to control your boozing when out and about. We do have some retards here, but they are not in the majority by any means. I mean Nigron is our first confirmed murder hobo after decades of this group being around in some form, which is statistically amazing when you think about it and compare it to any other slice of humanity. We have our vices around here, but for the most part we are good about limiting their harm on others.
When I was underage, used to do a deal where 1 of the boys would drink , the other would drive. Then I Realize one of my boys thinks 'don't drink' is 6 beers instead of 15 and I quit hanging around with him.

Probably not most of us. We are not in those demographics mostly.
Even those of us who are in that demographic were obviously playing video games instead of getting in trouble.

Here or robbed of youth thread? Can’t keep all these threads straight

Not saying she's not hot, but that's a rough looking 25 year old. I would have guessed late 30's and wouldn't have been surprised if she was in her 40's based on the photos.

Yes bond is collateral that you get back when you appear on your date. Doesn't matter if you are found guilty or innocent. I never thought to wonder if you could use a CC, but probably not.

But what happens 99% of the time is that you use a bail bondsman. You pay him 10% of the bond and you never see that money again. He gives the court your full bond and he gets his money back when you show up for court. If you skip town he can still get his money back by bringing you in, and that's where bounty hunters come in. Now those guys might take credit cards. Though it seems like a really bad idea to take credit from known criminals. That has got to regularly bite them on the ass.

The whole bail bodsman system really pisses me off because courts base your bond on what you can come up with 10% of. Thus ensuring you drain your bank account and can't afford a fucking lawyer.
The whole bail/bond system seems like bullshit that just penalizes people for being poor. Just another way to bankrupt people and/or punish people who don't have the money to begin with.

Never been in trouble with the law, but given how my year is going, I'm pretty sure I'll go to jail eventually for something stupid that I didn't even know was going on. Like owing some taxes or something.

Seems like they're always either saddling people with too much bail that they can't afford and punishing them unfairly, or under-penalizing people who did something violent and letting them right out. The fuck is that? If someone's violent, keep them in there with no bail. If it's something non-violent, have them put their car title up for collateral in case of flight and let them go. Or just let them go. If they don't show up for their hearing, do something punitive then. Almost nobody is going to actually flee the country unless they did something really bad, in which case they shouldn't be out on fucking bail to begin with anyway.
