I wonder if the absence of sexual activity or interpersonal relations resulting in sexual activity at the formative ages, the ages scientifically proven to be where you are imprinted with your sexual tastes and fetishes-- is that a detriment in some way?

What I mean is, are late bloomers more asexual overall and have fewer incidences of fetishes, or more?

I don't buy into your assertion that porn is capable of imprinting. I should specify I'm talking specifically about studies where fetishes of various types can be traced to the formative/imprint age. I think real life experiences are necessary.

People preferring anal pornography and actually living it are mutually exclusive.

Anecdotal example incoming! I know a woman who was a devout catholic and a virgin until she was 27 because she was trying to save herself for marriage. I'll never forget when she told me the story of her first time. Her and her boyfriend were drunk in a hot tub and she finally got horny enough to not care about her convictions. He put it in her ass "accidentally" and she didn't stop him. She now begs for anal and "feels bad for women who aren't into it"

This sounds like a reddit story, but this woman actually exists. And I've fucked her in the ass!

Wait... what kind of deviant does that make me?

Well, this is like the question ”who was first, the egg or the chicken” in a way. I mean, I had masochistic tendencies and preferences since I was 12 years old and I did not watch any porn at all, let alone BDSM porn.

However, there was a study on guys who watched porn and there were actual changes in their brain chemistry and behavior. So porn+lack of real life experiences in the formative age could be imprinting future behavior and preference, it is not unlikely. Furthermore, the homosexual/heterosexual dichotomy should be separated from the sexual fetishes, those two categories are distinctly different.

We will not know for sure, studies post-facto are a weak provider of scientific data, human experiment is what we need to establish this, and that will never happen.

I used to be right there with you, but then it turns out many young men in this situation had this quite negatively impact them as they got older so... /shrug

Examples?

I was a virgin till I was 25. I think I'm slightly more perverted than the average man my age. But i'm not sure if I cont as a late bloomer, I was jerking it to skinemax, playboys, and victoria's secret catalogs since sometime in my early teens.

Sorry I'm not going to go digging for all the random shit I've come across the last few years. Google should help you out.
