When did I call Rubio the 4th best PG in the league? I think he's more like 15th, but he's certainly a positive contributor and worthy of starting.

r4ndomdan, your last post is a little more reasonable, but you're still exaggerating points. He passes up 10+ shots a game? He takes 8 a game, you're contending he should be taking 18? That would put him 10th in the league in FGA per game. He just isn't that type of player.

I'm just saying Rubio looks as lost shooting field goals as Deandre Jordan does shooting free throws. They're both awful.

Slaythe, no, Rubio shouldn't be taking 18 shots a game. He can't shoot. He passes up wide open shots (or layups 95% of guards can finish) any other guard would drool over. Any other average shooting guard would take those 10 extra wide open shots in a heartbeat. I just pulled the number off the top of my head, but every game I watch I am just dumbfounded at the number of open looks he has and passes up while the rest of the team struggles to get off an open shot.

Good god this Golden State team is unreal. I hate watching the Cavs get their asses handed to them, but we're watching a possible dynasty here.

I dunno man being a Clevelander and having watched Lebron pretty closely throughout his career I feel like he's his own worst enemy. Him skipping college was the worst possible thing he could have done. He's immature, he most of the time doesn't play well under pressure, and his ego is so big it actually fills up a roster spot. He'll never be a leader like a Jordan, Magic, or Kobe, nobody. He'll be doomed to playing iso ball for the rest of his career either because A due to his immaturity he's incapable of leading a team so he goes solo, or B his ego's so big he doesn't think he needs anyone else.

Either way imo it's too late in his career for him to change. Sure he got some rings in Miami, but he wasn't the leader of that team. I honestly think if Lebron joined a team with someone as talented as him (Dwayne Wayde doesn't count) it would probably end up like Kobe and Shaq.

I can see that. I think the fact that LBJ was upset the media didn't ask him about Curry's champagne comment was really telling. He's way too interested in drama.

James Harden is absolutely atrocious at defense. He is rated as the 63rd best defender at his position (+/-), which means not only is he the worse defensive starting SG in the NBA, but he is also worse than EVERY SINGLE BACK UP SG. The Rockets are 22nd in the league defensively and are barely 500. Dwight Howard and Brewer deserve some blame too, but if you actually watch Harden play defense you feel embarrased for him. The All Pro and scoring accolades dont add up to much when your hurting your team that bad on defense.

People including myself were chalking it up to too many minutes played and a fatigue based thing, but after watching him this season I honestly think its just a lack of effort and sheer ineptitude.

I'm against changing rules just to make the game "prettier". That's how we ended up with a pass-happy NFL where defenders have their hands tied.

So, I'm not sure how I feel about this one...it really slows down the game, but I think I lean towards the "any player that is being paid millions of dollars to play basketball for a living should be able to make a 15-foot shot at least 60% of the time" camp. If it makes more strategic sense to risk foul trouble because an opponent gives significantly less points-per-possession at the line than his team normally would get, then more power to them.

Easy fix. Make it an option to take the fucking ball out. Or something like goaltending where after 3 intentional fouls to the same player before the last minute of the game gives them two points and /or the ball.

I'm kind of torn on the intentional fouling. I think you should be punished if you can't make your free throws, but it really does make the game un-watchable.

Harden is most def not winning MVP this year. His defense disqualifies him from the discussion. If he averaged 32 pts a game and the Rockets were top 3 or 4 team in the west then maybe he would have a chance if there wasnt a clear alternative.
