Larry Bird went to Indiana State. Karl Malone went to Louisiana Tech. It's not the small school (sports-wise)-to-MVP part that's fascinating...as you pointed out with Steph Curry and Steve Nash, that happens often enough. It's the fact they went to the same one at completely different times and ended up being Top 5 all-time at their positions that I find interesting. I don't think it was ever mentioned during that series either.

You're forgetting John Stockton and Adam Morrison..

But seriously, it's a different era. In this day, with youtube highlights and the way recruiting is, I don't think there's any way guys like Malone or Bird go to smaller schools. Curry and Nash are obviously very different MVP's than prototypical 6'9 forwards. In this day, you'd expect MVP's to be one and done guys or guys that are able to skip college entirely when it was allowed. Curry and Nash - that really doesn't happen "often enough."

But yeah, it is interesting that they didn't discuss much the fact that Duncan and Paul both went to Wake. I hadn't really thought about it much until you brought it up. I guess they really don't have much of a relationship from that tie? Like a lot of times guys will go back to their old college, play there during the summer, get to know the new players. Check that... I just looked it up, guess they've been friends a long time. Cool pic of young Paul here haha -

Its brought up over and over, but it's hilarious that Duncan looks exactly the same today as he did then, while I would hardly recognize CP3.

Well, the guy that finished 2nd this year went to Arizona State for 2 years. But, yeah, for the most part it's going to be LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Bruno Caboclo types that win it.

Good game. Cavaliers aren't looking all that great. It's back to Lebron having to do everything again since Love won't be back.

Kevin Love used to make those cold blooded 3's with the Twolves. That Rose shot reminded me of that. He'll never get those chances again in Cleveland.

Not gonna lie that one hurt. I mean, I'm glad DRose is back to being a badass and all because the NBA is better when he's around but damn if he could save that shit for regular season next year that'd be great.

When Is the proper time to discuss the consistent drop in Harden's play in the playoffs?

you should maybe re-look at his stats from the regular season compared to the offseason. they are basically the same (at least for this year). hell, his fg , ft and 3pt% are both up in the playoffs this year.

Foggy is just salty that Harden isn't with the Thunder anymore, and has become an MVP caliber play since being traded away.
