Greetings - anyone from or have experience in and around Santa Fe up through Red River (Taos/Angel Fire)? I'm trying to buy some land within a days drive from my home in Oklahoma as a bolt hole and CO is too expensive (I had a condo in Keystone and sold it during COVID). Looking for a 100-200 acre plot but more looking at what the downsides would be (either culturally or geographically)? I know the little ski towns themselves are really artsy fartsy, but would only really be in town on occasion to pick up supplies, etc. Would like to convert into a little mountain getaway at some point but for now would just be used as an escape/hunting/fishing spot.

Geographically, they just spent a couple months having hundreds of thousands of acres right next door burn to the ground from wildfires, but I do hear they're quaint little towns
