It's a boost to xp groups, it's the whole Raid mobs ignoring pets thing that is the big game changer, since presumably it removes petwalling.
It could be mixed to XP groups - the "power curve" change could really mean anything including drastically lower HP/DPS - it's not on Test currently.

Yeah I'm just presuming efreeti would be in there since you can get locked to the base instance or another instance, figured once you're locked to one you cant go to a non base or to the base..

Yeah I figure if they say power curve that means pet nerf damage/tanking wise. Why else would they put that in there? Why would they make mage pets more powerful? I mean I know I did "some" raid buffed bosses with my mage army on RF but most of my krono was on non-raid boss farming so if they made pets stronger and did that ignore-pet-raid-boss mechanic I'd still roll mages.

So you could grab a group of 6 people 46+, go to lavastorm, fire up an instance, head to efreeti...

Once you kill off the room does it respawn? Or is it all dead for 6 hours?

If it does, when an Efreeti actually spawns will it ever spawn again or be all placeholders?

Efreeti will respawn but you or anyone who started the instance can't loot it after the first kill for 4.5 days or whatever. It's not going to be worth farming stuff like that in an instance because that's basically one GEBS per 6 people per 4.5 days.

It would be way easier to just go the open world dungeon and try to spawn picks if you have enough boxes.

Wouldn't some of those changes make sense on live, like allowing melee and pet tanks to coexist?

They're limiting pet changes on live to non current content. No idea how far back they will make the cut off point. Pet classes are far to strong at 105 to allow this change in all content. Tanks and healers would both take a hit while mages and necromancer would still be able to molo most current named mobs. No way that happens without pet classes getting nerfed to hell back as a result.

- Adjusted how NPCs choose a melee target in relation to player pets:
- - It is now possible for a pet to be the target of an NPC's melee attacks if it has the highest aggro with other players in range.
- - This behavior can be adjusted on a per NPC basis and will currently be disabled for all current and previous raid difficulty NPCs.

All around good changes. If the no box code is stopping a high percentage of the various automation tricks people will try, pras Daybreak. Pets were due for a nerf and let's be real, was it really fun watching 50 mages pet wall Vox and Trak 2 days after release?

It really is in their best interest to stop mass bot farming on phinigel. Right now the gear market is so flooded on RF/LJ that casual Timmy can get a set of nearly BIS group gear for a couple Kronos. So rather than steady buying Kronos, getting an upgrade here and there, he buys 2, buys all this gear, then gets bored and quits. If fungi tunics weren't 8k and Kronos 30k he might stick around longer and buy steadily throughout the expansion.

The root change has to be one of the most overdue fixes of all time.

Can they put OOC regen in and make it the best server of all time?
