Better question, would you rather have Tannehill or Cutler?its time for us to have a conversation about whether Tannehill is an elite NFL quarterback
Other than having 3 more picks than Tannehill, Cutler is still statistically better in every category than Tannehill.Better question, would you rather have Tannehill or Cutler?
That's not what I asked bro.Other than having 3 more picks than Tannehill, Cutler is still statistically better in every category than Tannehill.
Essentially Cutler's worst season is still better than Tannehill's best.
But that's none of my business, I'm a Colts fan.
But in today's Chicago Sun Times, Cutler was quoted as saying (paraphrased from memory), "I need to play better, I need to step up!" Isn't that a sign of an elite quarterback?!?
2014 NFL Top Contract Value SalariesSeifert: Contracts that limit teams - ESPN
JC, Flacco, and Romo all make the list. And the Lions have 2 people(Donkeykong and Megatron).
That's only 2 contracts. Dallas has 2 of the top 25 overall valued contracts. If you expand the list to the top 500, Dallas falls back into the pack.Wow Dallas at $205,600,000 in contracts.
I'm no expert, but the ESPN thing wasn't just a list of biggest contracts, obviously. It was ones that actually hurt the team. Aaron Rodgers contract isn't hamstringing anyone, and Kaepernick's contract is surprisingly team friendly when you get in to the details. The ESPN article actually gives details about WHY the contracts are bad for the teams.2014 NFL Top Contract Value Salaries
Here is the list of overall outstanding contract values. Cutler tops the list, but mysteriously absent from the "these contracts hamstring teams" is #3 and #6 on that list. Yet Romo and Suh end up on there. This is why ESPN "analysts" are trash.

I get that it's easy(and fun!) to hate on ESPN, but if they just wanted to list the largest contracts on paper they could have.
