pats schedule doesn't look horrific- while 19-0 is technically feasible, i think a more realistic regular season record for the pats is13-3 or 14-2, unless injuries happen, they should do no worse than 12-4.

the pitt game is late in the year 5 of the last 6 games are vs afc east the 6th game is steelers... btw that is fucking weird to be playing almost all your division games at the end of the year,

pats last 6 games of the season :

h dolphins
a bills
a dolphins
a steelers (and the steelers HAVE to do better on D than straight zone or they will get crushed....again.)
h bills
h jets

That's pretty crazy division loaded final 6 games. Any other teams that loaded down the stretch? I thought the new thing was to play at least 2 division games early, and have 2 or 3 late as well (with 1 or 2 potential in the middle).

Don't even really care enough to look too deeply into the Bengals schedule. Is there a limit to compensation picks? FA mass exodus this year and I think they've only signed one FA. At least AJ should provide some good highlights.

Compensatory picks max out at 4.

Curious what the best compensatory pick haul in one year ever was. Pretty sure no team has ever come close to having four extra 3rd round compensatory picks. The picks are also ranked, since they are essentially added to the end of each round after teams' normal picks in rounds 3-7. But having the first 3rd round compensatory pick would obviously be better than the last one, as well.

Not sure, if I had to blindly bet it would be Baltimore. Newsome gamed the system while other GMs didn't know the rules for a handful of years until the rules became transparent. Dallas is set to max out next year, 3rd 4th and 2 5ths or 4ths and 5 ths 3rd round is possible due to Leary it's borderline though so could go either way.

The Ravens got a 3, 2 4's and a 5 in 2014. That's pretty close. You basically have to lose a pro bowler to get a 3.

This is the first year comps are tradable, which was long overdue.

Yeah that's a nice haul. I'd figure even getting a 3rd + a 5th would be sweet.

Anyone got some pre-draft prognostications about who your team is taking?

I have a feeling the Steelers are headed toward Jabrill Peppers and I have no sense of how this guy is going to translate to the NFL. But if they pick him I'll trust their homework. My dark horse is John Ross from Washington if he makes it that far, a dark horse because everyone has us taking either a CB or rush LB, and I could see them trying to load Ben up on offense for one more pre-retirement push and this kid is like a better and faster Mike Wallace.

Was also recently reading some piece that said Pittsburgh and Seattle on day 3 have had 300% more success than other teams finding starters, which I guess makes sense with guys like AB, Bryant, Richard Sherman etc. I wonder who might wheel and deal for Sherman as well, he seems like draft day bait for Seattle. Strangely enough, I could see us giving a 2nd or so for him but maybe thats just wishful thinking.

Genj, without info on a potential butler, or garoppollo trade it's impossible to project picks for the pats. But as far as their needs go I see it as follows.

1. Inside linebacker
2. Offensive tackle
3. D end
4. D tackle
(The order of 3 and 4 is probably dependent on how they use lawerence guy, which edko could probably expound upon better than me)

All of those are basically backup spots though. The patriots don't really have any holes, it's just a question of depth so they probably go best player available. Or knowing belichick, well draft a qb, a safety three rounds earlier than projected, a punter, and some five foot nine white dude, be pissed off as fans for two years, and then call belichick a genius in three years.

I really liked Guy. You will, too. He can honestly do work at both positions (and did for the Ravens), but I imagine he will be most used at DE. He's pretty athletic for a big dude.

I am pretty confident the Bears will pick a quarterback pretty early in the draft and then have Tampa Bay's back-up and Butt Fumble show him the correct way to play the game...

My only hope is that the Chargers draft as well this year as they did last year.

You really need to stick to your shitposting

No tell me more about your idea of trading for Sherman, one of the best cover corners in the NFL. To play in Pittsburghs antiquated and terrible zone defense.

One of the worst ideas posted in this thread.

You mean the guy Seattle has said they're open to trading? Who is about to turn 30????

Every time you try to argue football with me you end up looking like a tard, same as your fucktard prediction about how the SB would play out where I was right again and you were wrong again.

Again, stick to shitposting.

Yes Seattle is open to trading Sherman, everyone knows this. You still haven't told me why Pittsburgh would trade for a guy like that to stick in a zone defense.
