I think Jerry was just backing up his "guy". I was listening when he called in, and he was just emotional. The Fan station here really drills him, I give them credit for really letting the Jones family know how actual fans feel.

Surely Stephen Jones and McClay are telling Jones, "No rush to extend this guy. Let's wait."

It could end up being a good move for the Saints, as long as Dez doesn't cause drama for not getting enough looks. The Saints have a clear #1 in Thomas, but having Dez as a #2 is a solid move.

I should probably point out that this is also one of the plays (he does it a lot) that Dak ran out of bounds on his own behind the line of scrimmage for a sack.

Cowboys are back to the clown show of 2015 when you'd have classics like Matt Cassell evading ghosts before throwing an interception that's so bad it gets flagged for intentional grounding.
