If they feel the defenders have an unabated shot at the QB they blow the play dead on offsides. Have for the last few years at least

I haven't been this excited for football since Harbaugh's last year with the 49ers.
Really tough first game for the 49ers, I am just hoping they keep it competitive. Defense is going to have a huge challenge, especially with Foster out.
