Never been a big hockey fan, but have enjoyed watching the playoffs the last few years. Really like how chippy these 7 game series get.
Buddy and I have decided to pick teams and start following. Thinking I might become an Utah fan just cause they’re new, even though I don’t know shit about them (or any hockey team for that matter). Edit: I’m in Louisville, KY so don’t have a local team.
Tonight’s game has been a good watch - glad Florida is winning just cause I want as many games as possible. Still don’t quite have a handle on all the rules, but getting there.

You'd want Edmonton to win this one if you want the series to be longer. This might be over in 5 unless Edmonton can figure out how to spring McDrai loose or break the Panthers' defense.
Edmonton is screwing up trying to match the physicality. You aren't going to outdo Florida in chippiness. Florida loves it while it throws other teams off their game.

Edmonton got thrown off their game early on and never recovered. They can’t play that type of hockey against Florida or it’s going to be a short series.
I don’t necessarily like Florida but you gotta respect how they built the team. Damn tough team to play against in a 7 game series.

Too true and with a guy like Bob back there FLA can take a lot more chances in so many ways. Reffing has also been weird, some really soft calls both ways, then stretches where nothing called at all. I think the real back breaker for Edm in last night's game was that skating into the ref and then Reinhart immediately sniping one, lol that's some shitty luck.

They need to call these penalties on Florida because it's taking away from the fact that Florida would still be winning even if they did have a couple of PK shifts. Florida is playing like they're down 3-0 in the series and about to be eliminated.
Edmonton just looks lost out there. I was confident in Florida winning, but I wasnt expecting this.
