Can't throw 35+ years away for a team that will probably just move in 12-15 years anyways. Don't have a favorite MLB team, though, so will definitely root for the A's

I am curious why they're looking at such a small stadium to be built there (I read only ~30,000 seats), I would think Vegas fandom would be pretty strong, especially off Knights winning the Cup.

Guessing they wanted it to be on the actual strip, where space is extremely limited and not only expensive to purchase, but you have to factor in how much money you're not making by having a casino there instead. That's why Raiders stadium is off the strip

Last I read it was supposed to be on the land where the Tropicana is now. I know the city just passed a bill giving it the green light, no idea what other legal hurdles there might be, though.

The last I looked the actual stadium takes up a portion of the property. I think part of the deal is there will be a new hotel/casino built on the property (maybe why the stadium is not bigger and takes up more space). The proposed stadium is only 9 acres, while the entire property itself is 35 acres.

Was supposed to go to the pinball museum saturday, now going to push it to another day. Just to avoid the strip and the parade for the knights.
