Nintendo Switch 1 and 2

I love how Nintendo tries to push third party games into being digital by pricing physical carts out of reach for a lot of publishers, especially greedy assholes like Square, while also having infrastructure that's straight out of the early 2010's. 2+ hours to download Witcher 3 Remastered upgrade pack for Switch 2, which is a little under 50GB. That's on wired ethernet too, though I don't think there's nearly as big a gap between wired and wifi as there was on Switch 1.

By comparison, the same game took under 15 minutes to download from GOG and that's despite the PC version being 10GB larger (and the Switch download still going at the same time).

Why do people still think there's going to be an OLED Switch 2? Nintendo is so cheap that the screen is still soft plastic that scratches if you look at it funny, and yet people still think they'll spring for OLED or AMOLED that can do 120Hz, HDR, VRR, etc. Best you're going to get is a refresh version with the EU battery (and hopefully larger considering the absolute joke of a battery life this system has) and if you're really lucky an upgraded LCD screen that doesn't have such an absurdly large bezel. That's kind of unlikely though, I'm not sure they can avoid the bezel because of how the joycons attach.

Quick PSA for anyone else playing Witcher 3 on Switch 2. The process of getting the upgrade pack is a bit convoluted if you have a physical copy for Switch 1. You have to patch the old version, launch it, use the eShop link on main menu to get to the upgrade pack download, and once that's done you can just run it whenever without needing the cart to be inserted at all anymore. And you can also free up the ~12GB that the Switch 1 patch used because it's no longer needed either.
